Van Yulay Tallow-Big Difference After a very disappointing experience with one of Van Yulay’s non-tallow formulas, I decided that, to be fair, I would try one of the tallow soaps. I ordered the Spiced Mahogany. I love the scent. It is similar to WSP Mahogany and Reef Point Submariner. It easily produced an excellent lather and a superb shave. It did leave a sticky residue on my razor however, which I had to clean afterward. Overall, I am glad I tried Van Yulay again.
You are more forgiving than I am. If I try a product that I do not like, it is unlikely that I would try something else by the same company.
These Van Yulay soap formulas seem to differ quite a bit IMO. It's a YMMV thing but I have had mixed results based on which formula is used. VY does include some great skincare ingredients in their soaps, including Emu oil which is uniqie.
