As I've posted, I'm listening to the Billy Joel Channel on SiriusXM in my truck. However man does not live by Joel alone. I took my son back to school today and on the way home decided to listen to something different. First an explanation. Growing up my Mom(who was a stay at home Mom) listened to WNEW-AM 1130. Klavan & Finch, in the morning, William B. Williams at 1000 and Jim Lowe in the afternoon. Until I got to Junior High I thought Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme et al was the only music. As I embraced rock, the music I grew up with receded into the back of my mind. As I got older though it came back. So today I broke out a Time/Life Music CD I bought for a buck at the fleamarket back in October. Gene Krupa, one of the best drummers ever. Enjoy.
Susan Tedeschi is not only one of the best voices out there today, but she is just a class act and a warm human being.
That voice though...And she is just as good - in my opinion better - live. The whole band excels live. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Lots of renditions of this song over the years. CCR did it best, but the Fogerty version with an orchestra was awesome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have to add, I watched this near terrible movie 2 weeks ago but have had this song stuck in my head since. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Not for the easily offended. This is the only country music I can tolerate. Wheeler Walker Jr. is a very good comedic musician. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
As I posted earlier I've been listening to the Billy Joel Channel in my truck. Today I decided to change things up a little. So, I found my copy of "A Night At The Opera" by Queen and lit up my CD player.
