Reading the entire Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. On book 8 now, The Path of Daggers. I'm also reading The Black Prism by Brent Weeks. Love my epic fantasy.
See post above about The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Also, have you read the other Brent Weeks series (The Way of the Shadows)?
I'm actually reading name of wind right now, loving it. I've read the first book in shadows series, was amazing. Just finished black Prism as well, weeks is a great writer.
Yeah, I read most of WoT. Found it getting a little repetitive after a while, though. Same with the Wizard's First Rule series. (Which became not only a bit repetitive but also more than a little preachy.) Definitely pick up the two Rothfuss books, when you have a chance. They are great.
Yeah I've got both, accidentally started reading the wise man's fear first, so I had to start over with name of the wind, about a quarter of way thru it now.
I also recently finished the Wool series by Hugh Howey. Terrific series of short stories that eventually turned into a novel. http://www.hughhowey.com/books/wool-omnibus-edition-1-5/
I agree, the whole book was fascinating from beginning to end. Who knows - maybe that is the future we saw in the book
