BEFORE it became inconsitent,to expensive, counterfieted and ' dances with Black Hills hotel developer' Kevin Costner's signature scent Bois du Portugal by Creed. During our recent rain storm in California I found myself reaching for Penhaligons OPUS 1870 until my bottle started replicating our previously drought stricken reservoirs. I've been using Domenica Bay Rum and a treasured bottle of the OLD Woods of Windsor pre reformulation patchouli garbage.

I choose my scent based upon my mood rather than upon the weather. :)

An old GF LOVED musk. She was a vegan and I explained musk was from the male scent gland of large ruminants:angry021:ended that relationship fast.

That was Ann, the Kate Hepburn- esq who didn't recognise Mel Brooks outside a chinese restaurant or Alan Rickman in Santa Ynez. The Ann who took me to Follow Your Heart vegan restaurant in the San Fernando Valley and smugly said she knew I had never been in there before. I replied yes, when I was a kid this was larry's butcher shop and we're sitting by the abbatoir and where hung carcasses were aged after the locals brought them in for slaughter and rendering. Guy next to us threw up his banana and peanut butter sandwich with mint tea. She dumped me for mutual friend Charlie, Montessori raised who dumped her for a indian girl after getting both pregnant and then had her family ready to kill him when he cheated with another gal named Yvonne who finally revealed she was a he.
All this was just before the Iranian Revolution. I was exausted with crazy girlfriends and dated Faribha, a Sufi after mutual entreaties via Roya, a Misrahi who told her parents I could quote Hafiz , collected persian rugs and THIS, is America.

I don't have a season for soaps and scents per say, though I tend to prefer Bay Rum and woodsy/conifer scents for winter.

I'm not sure I have seasonal scents. This winter I have used my bay rum scented soaps (Captain's Choice, Stirling and Barrister & Mann) often along with various woodsy scented soaps (Barrister & Mann Taiga, Stirling Coniferous, and Captain's Choice North). I also love Stirling's Barbershop - what a great scent. Since my taking up the hobby last summer I have only this winter to use as an example. I love the Bay Rum and woodsy scents so much - I doubt I will stop using them just because its spring/summer.

I have a few winter scents/fragrances that would most likely be a bit cloying in the Texas summer heat of the day. Used sparingly during a night out on the town would probably be fine.

I don't have anything "niche" so these are all designer...

    Armani Code Profumo
    Valentino Uomo Intense
    Chanel Antaeus
    Dior Homme Parfum
    Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum
Dolce & Gabbana The One EDP
Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit De L'Homme

Since it's started cooling off I've found myself passing on the menthol scents and going with:

Stirling: Gentleman, Ozark Mountain, Red Delicious, Coniferous, Gatlinburg

Big Easy Soaps: Voodoo Queen, 504, Purple Haze, 221B Baker St.

    Chiseled Face: Sherlock

They all are great scents and seem to fit well for me this time of year.
Thinking hard about trying Stirling Christmas Eve!!!

Don't really have seasonal scents. I use all the soaps year round - however - I do tend to use certain ones more this time of year.

    Stirling: Barbershop, Coniferous, Bay Rum
    Captains Choice: Bay Rum
Barrister & Mann: Bay Rum and Taiga

They are all stronger/warmer scents. I put the Black Cherry, Grapefruit, Orange, almond, sandalwood, along with all the "artsy fartsy" scents to rear of the inventory.
