What Manly Things Did You Do Today?

Jeez he couldn't take the other lazy irresponsible way and just trash them. Had to get everyone involved.

Was outside nailing tight a screen on a bedroom window when the yellowjackets under the sill let me know they wanted to live there. Took four stings before I got in the house. Got mad, came back out and nuked them, then took diphenhydramine. The ones on the elbow and between the knuckles hurt worst, the wonderful little creatures.

No idea how manly any of this was. Gonna go lay down and wait for the antihistamine to kick in.

I have three toilets in my house. I have lived here for 18 years. I think I have had approximately 16 total days where all three of them worked perfectly.

 

Having to deal with those nasty little devils in *any* form or fashion is manly. All I did was mow the yard for my landlady.

 

You're not going to mention the other manly thing you did today? Namely, changing your avi back to something faaabulous?

 

All I did today was drink beer and work on the boat. The avatar was yesterday.

 

Uncloggged the kids' toilet. Even got to sneak in the "Doody Calls" dad joke.

 

lol...well, it didn't get to THAT.

 

Mowed the lawn and spent some time on the ongoing deck project. I ended up adding a partial middle layer to the boardwalk section to make it easier on my old knees. Now the neurotic collie won't go near that section. :-(

 

Went and got gas for the mower.

Diagnosed and will fix leaking A/C in the wife's Dodge.

Made lunch: Salmon patties

1 can salmon
2 eggs
4 Club crackers, crumbled
Tbsp each ground garlic and ground onion
salt and pepper
Start to finish - around 10 minutes.

Fried thin and somewhat crispy and SOAKED in butter when still hot. They were a hit. 9 year old wants them several times a week.

 

Scrapped and painted the Bilco doors and outside stair hand railings.
Now I'm watching the Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs the Toronto Argonauts and enjoying a Saranac Root Beer.

 

Got out the drill & made pilot holes, for 2 screw eyes, in a picture frame.

 

I tamed the jungle that was my yard. Then me and my two sons went and picked up a sleeper sofa, took it to my in-law's. Took a regular sofa from my in-law's to my basement.
My in-law's down sized in houses and I get all of their extra "stuff".
