Old Sheffield-made "Celebrated IXL" 13/16" razor from George Wostenholm & Sons. One of my favorites...

Spyder, what do you think of that green and white handled brush? I am in the market for a boar bristle brush, and that's one of the ones on my finalist list.

This is only the second razor I have ever honed from the ground up, and I really surprised myself with how sharp it turned out. It turned out a great shave.

That's a Semogue 1305. My first, favorite, and most used brush. If this brush self destructed, I'd immediately replace it. It soft, once broken in and holds an enormous amount of lather.

I have one also and it's a fantastic brush. I've been using it for two years and look forward to using it when it comes around in the rotation.

Tonight's shave was with an old Japanese razor. I Finished it on the Arkie Surgical Black, and it did wonderfully. This stone took it from a 7 to a solid 9 on the 1-10 scale. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, with almost BBS results. No Touchups.

    Razor- Japanese "JPN 1000" 6/8th
    Brush- Vintage Boar.
Soap- Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic, Glacial.
    Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy

Next up was my Henry Sears and Son and it did not disappoint! I paired it up with Chiseled Face ghost town barber, Drygulch strop, VDH boar, store brand witch hazel and Aqua Velva musk.

These razors are beautiful. Is it ok to have just one or two straights, or must I give in and acquire one of each type?
