This fella gave me a little trouble initially on the hones. Now this has the sharp and smooth edge we all crave. This one came as unused, except the box was a little torn on one edge. Definitely a keeper.

Tonight's shave was with a German made, for the USA, razor. I had a very nice 2 pass shave, that left with a DFS. Zero issues, just a very nice shaver.

SOTD: Early morning shave today and I decided to put to use this unusual Sheffield-made 6/8" 'Celebrated 3415' razor with a fullered blade, made by Joseph Smith & Sons (ca1850). I'm happy to report that, typically, no 'blood gutter' is required for the majority of my shaves. :D

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Fine Snake Bite Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #241 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the H. Böker 5/8 straight and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I used my Genco “Vanadium” this morning and had a wonderful three pass shave. I paired it up with Chiseled Face ghost town barber and whipped up a nice lather with my JR 221 Celtic knot brush.

Tonight's shave was with a new razor of mine. It preformed flawlessly, with a 2 pass shave, and BBS results. Awesome American razor.

A sweet shave with my Geo Wostenholm Pipe. Adding to the pleasure was a new Romera 28mm Silvertip fan Wengue wood chubby. Blossomed out right away, wonderful feel and great with the soap. Looks pretty special, too. ;)

A very cool blade. I have been very tempted to order one. How does it shave? Is it difficult to maintain the edge?

The shave is different, as getting a nice straight line on a sideburn is tricky. What I personally love is the south to north on the neck - it fits perfectly into the curves on the neck. That surprised me.

As far as honing, using a rolling-x seems to do just fine. And you can just watch the undercut of the water very easy.
I love it... but I would say the SK3 is better. :signs136:
