Just finished my first shave with my overhauled 9/8 Joseph Elliot. Never shaved with a wedge before but wow this thing gave an awesome shave.

Also very happy with how it came out as well![IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

That is an amazing blade and restoration!!!
Gotta ask what the biggest difference in shaving with that blade was for you?

The weight basically allows for no pressure at all. Also not sure if its the geometry or what is different but I noticed a much easier time shaving around my gotee maybe no blade flex? I always struggle around my gotee as I have to run a steeper angle to set the edge of my gotee.

I also went a little more against the grain this time and it seemed easier than normal. I'm guessing it's edge geometry but given this is my first wedge I dont know for sure.

My normal shaver and a blade I truely love is my 6/8 Frederick Reynolds.

This one is right between 13/16 and 7/8, and a full hollow.

Sure is. They have quite a few registered brands. Crown & Sword is another one that I see quite a bit.

    Crown & Sword
    Grooming Dept. Neroli di Bois
    24mm Tuxedo knot

Straight forward blade on this razor, just well made, easy to maintain and takes a good edge. I received a good size sample Neroli di Bois and enjoyed the shave and scent. Have a good one.

I have a Gottlieb Hammesfahr in my rotation. I don't see them often.

    Henckels Friodur 72-V

Not a lot of 1/4 Hollow Friodurs floating around from what I can tell. The all stainless look is a bit different but I think it’s strong in this case..
