Tonight's shave was with an old reliable razor, that never lets me down. I had a glass smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. Perfect shaving razor, in every way. Hence the name.

Razor- "Perfection" Warranted. Swank H W Co. Warranted
Brush- "The Brush B400" By Tom. WD Boar Knot. 2 hairs shed.
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Florida Water

    Iwasaki 5/8 Sweedish Steel
    Poraso Green Soap
    Olde Doc Shaving Oil
    Pinald Clubman

First shave after honed, so it was awesome. A smaller razor than I usually use, but I like the steel on the Iwasaki blades. I found this bottle of preshave oil in the mountains and it was delightful. [IMG]

At some point, I'd like to narrow it down to 24 or less.

Second day in a row with this Russkie. I’m experimenting with some pastes and wanted a back to back comparison. Another wonderful shave. :happy036:

Thank you very much. And I think my wife was okay with me wasting the whole day... TBD :)
It was pretty abused so I did use the dremel to smooth out some of the bad areas. Mostly going between a 400 grit sanding drum and 180/240 grit sanding discs.
Once I had a surface I felt I could sand, it was just hours of hand sanding 320-1500, then using Flitz to polish it up.
There is still quite a few marks on the blade face, but I got it to where I feel good using it.
    Thanks for the kind comment!

Shave #50 on the Cape, cream was SMN lathered with a 22mm HMW 2-band, followed by Lucky Tiger AS. This was the 9th shave since I last used the canvas, so I added 20 canvas to the 35/65 suede/cordovan post shave. It's still shaving well.

    Cheers, Steve

    26mm Cat straight razor

My "Rocket Man" razor. This razor was manufactured in D.P.R.K. (North Korea). It looked pretty minty but turned out to be pretty screwed up. The blade had a considerable frown and a warped blade. I got through all the B.S. and it (the blade) took a fine edge and delivered a good shave but I don't think I'll look for another.. I have heard these razors call "The Cat" and "The Kitty" but have no idea of the name.
