Just placed my order for a Whipped Dog silvertip brush! I got the 24mm standard loft in a marble handle (like the picture below). Looking forward to receiving it. Just sending an email to Larry and seeing his reply, I know I'm going to love doing business with him.
Many of us (myself included) have bought silvertips from Whipped Dog. I love mine & Larry has been a pleasure to deal with.
Just received a Sliver tip from Larry. I guess the handle was black marble there was just a hint of marble on one side of the brush. Weakest back bone of an brush I've ever owned. It did lather well tonight though.
I've had my WD silver tip for about a month now. It is easily one of the best purchases I have made. Larry is a pleasure to work with. I am very pleased.
Larry has been a pleasure to deal with. I have also found him to be very helpful. I'm waiting on 2 knots from him presently, for my Grandfather's brushes.
On his sight under the handle section it does suggest having the handle drilled deeper if using one of his silvertips
Whipped Dog 30/65mm Silver Tip Badger Black&White Marbled Resin Handle * {My Preferred Brush} I would venture to say that this is my favorite brush. The brush that I say is a close second to being my favorite is my Old Corps Oscar11 Brush.
Just ordered a Black Pure from WD, 24mm, drilled a tad deeper. Looking for Badger with scratch for soaps & croaps. Have a mountain badger from WD in 24mm and it is one of my favorites! Darn... after seeing all these babies, have to get another!
It was recommended by the seller (Whipped dog) to set the knot deep and I'm glad I followed the advice. Ultra-soft silvertip brush with good backbone; albeit a 'lather hog' at times.
