Why Are Some Blades Numbered At The Corners?

Why are some blades numbered at the corners? I assume it is the obvious, so someone can keep up with which edge they are shaving with (if they are inclined to do that). But, does anyone ever flip a blade over for a subsequent shave?

Nobody on the forums knows for sure, but the prevalent theory seems to be it's for manufacturing purposes/quality control.

I cannot point you to the thread that discusses it, for if I do JoAnna will chastise me, something about doing my kids homework for them. :o

All I can say is the Search Function is your friend.

I tried the search but had no luck. But, I will confess that I didn't try too hard because I need to get to 15 posts to enter the newbie drawing. :D
