Tomorrow morning! We'll be opening some presents. Only a few, since we already had Saint Nicholas' Eve (5th of December). Here in The Netherlands we mostly celebrate Saint Nicholas, but some do Christmas in stead.

For those who didn't know: Saint Nicholas (Sinterklaas) is the origin of Santa Claus. When New York was still New Amsterdam the Dutch colonists celebrated Saint Nicholas. When New Amsterdam becam e Nwe York some of the Dutch colonists remained and the children of the Enlish colonists wanted some goodies as well...

Just found out I have a christmas drink. Just looked in the fridge and saw my wife had bought some Pepsi Max as a nice little christmas treat.

There may be a couple of folks new to rye
at our get-together later this evening.
I always keep a bit of Beam around for the introduction.
It's a bit less spicy, and usually accepted more readily.

Later on, maybe a touch of my favorite. Bulleit Rye.

Coffee from my newly received this. Thing sure does keep it almost undrinkably hot even hours later. Great item, glad to have it. My old stainless steel Oxo leakproof mugs are now obsolete.

Also received my Lucky Tiger lotion but I won't be drinking that.

The anchovie adds just a bit of salt and oil. Works for me

The closest I've had is anchovy-stuffed olives in my drink. Potential downside and appeal to others is the fishy oil slick that can form on the surface of the drink. Hey, but Nothing ventured, nothing gained….

Omega 3s, to be precise. So, you see, a martini can be good for you! :D

I wonder if I can get my doc to prescribe 2-a-day for the health benefits!

    Some very nice holiday drinks.

I've had many a martini, but never seen one with anchovy. Sounds like a good idea for 2015!
