I've had it a little while. I haven't been smoking my pipes as much lately for a variety of reasons, and I haven't been very good lately at posting pics as well. So between the two, I haven't posted many pics of it.
I love the ring grain on it and it a distinctive looking pipe. Very nice color combination with the stem.
Thunderstorms in the forecast again this afternoon, so I took the opportunity for a morning pipe of Chestnut in a Tinsky. It was getting uncomfortably muggy when I finished at 9:00. I picked "Large Thumbnail" for image size in Imgur, let's see how it turns out.
Good Morning from Germany Friends, actually i wanted to break in my new pipe with my new tobacco yesterday. There was time at all...so i do it right now before heading to work. My first Chili-Pipe with Old Joe Krantz. Very nice tobacco so far. Have a great time, enjoy your pipe and take care. Greetings Thorsten
Your image displays well. I can almost read the fine print on the matchbox viewing it using Firefox browser on a Win7 laptop via HDMI on a Sony 40" monitor/TV.
Folded, tucked, stuffed Solani 656 in the Peterson System. It's a cool 81° F with all day rain predicted. More like October than August weather.
I've seen this pipe in person (well one of them I believe there were 100 made) at Paul's Pipe Shop in Flint Mi. It certainly is interesting with 18kt gold rim and umbrella.
Friday morning I received this Vuillard Majestic pipe I got off eBay. I liked the looks of it so put in the opening bid. VThis is a French pipe made in Saint-Claude, and Vuillard is currently owned by Chacom. I don't know if this pipe was made before or after the Chacom purchase. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info on Vuillard on the web. I was cleaning it with alcohol and pipe cleaners while smoking the Castello, but it was pretty clean to start. Maybe I'll be able to fire it up this evening.
Perique enhanced Five Brothers Pipe Tobacco! in the Rossi Prince. The added moisture helped slow the burn and added that plum flavor I like.
Yesterday during the steamy heat, PS Toasted Burley in Chacom. To the right, my house guest. Nephew is going through a separation with his not quite one year bride. Hurley the dog has been staying with me as a bargaining chip in the negotiations. Welcome to soggy tennis ball fetch.
