Peterson U F in Jobey Compact 090 on a bright Spring time day. Loving the cool breezy temp. Can't put away the winter clothes just yet.
Kicking up some MDF dust building a sub-woofer box. Easy money, fun geometry, playing with power tools. Enjoyed a bit of Capstan in the Cristiano.
Rossi. That should be a GREAT pipe. Understated design, known-quantity maker, bulletproof finish. Enthusiastic enough?
Probably the Rossi between the two. I don’t have a Rossi, nor an Author style, although that style is beginning to appeal to me more and more.
I have neither, but have heard good things about both. I would opt for the Morgan Bones pipe just because I prefer acrylic stems. I just checked the Morgan Bones site though, and it indicates the paneled apple isn't in stock.
Boo. My biggest tip, always buy something you really like to look at. If a pipe is unappealing, it will likely be under-appreciated as well.
The descriptions on smokingpipes.com indicate the Vittoria line have vulcanite stems, although some of the other Rossi lines have acrylic. Smokingpipes.com has a very good system for filtering characteristics in a given brand. I recommend anyone searching for a new pipe check it out. You don't have to buy the pipe there, but it can really aid in finding the model you want.
I would agree than my #8315 Bent Prince has a vulcanite stem. It's a little longer of bit and thinner of lines that the #8320 Author @ Tdmsu pictured above. Wonderful smoker with a nice finish.
Cool spring morning with a cup of Community coffee & sweet Italian cream. Went well with OGS in the Kaywoodie Magnum.
