I was in the mood for Ennerdale this morning, so I pulled out a Falcon. Ennerdale is notorious for ghosting a pipe so I avoided using one of my briars.
Similar concept, but I find the Falcon easier to clean and Falcons are cheaper with greater availability. I don't have much experience with Kirstens though, just one estate pipe I found. Kirsten has a lot of fans, but a new Kirsten will cost you $130 or more. I haven't been willing to pay that much for one.
So, I was cleaning up in the garage yesterday, when I came across this pipe, I must have left in in there. It’s been sitting in there a long time, as I had forgotten about it. Anyways a quick clean up and back to use. It smokes as good as I remember. Finding this pipe and using it again is like meeting with an old friend. Finished off another tin earlier today. So far I've only run Capstan Blue through this Thomas Cristiano. Now it's time to see what I'll load in it next.
I have no experience with falcon pipes, but I know a lot of people like them. They both work off of the same concept. I personally just like the looks of the Kirsten pipes better. But Like @Erik Redd said the Kristen’s cost a lot more.
Hi, he did not have Gatsby Luxury Flake, but he did have two others,Meat Pie, and Harvest on the Hudson. Sorry it took so long to respond. Peace. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No worries about timing. I'm fairly certain Drew Estates is no longer producing, so it's dwindling supplies. Not familiar with the two you listed, have to read some reviews. Thank you for checking! Tapatalk Via Kyocera
Have a blast! Amazing food, music, cigars, rum and people. Keep it as Cuban as possible for best results.
Some OGS in my Rossi Rustic Author. I've made a convert in a friend here. I'm giving him this tin and the Missouri Meer I bought him.
My wife knowing how much I like Frog Morton blends and how sad I am with McCelland's closing surprised me with with these yesterday. She found them in a local brick and mortar. I think I'll keep her!
Yep, she’s a keeper. FMOTB (the one on the bottom) is my favorite. Right now I’m down to half a can left.
