If it was, your blade spreadsheet would probably crash TSD's server I usually start looking when I hit 100 so I have time to find sales, and/or the best deals. This has recently changed as I have been enjoying the Russian blades. They are so super cheap now that I have taken advantage of the current exchange rate. Between what I have and what is on the way, I am north of 500 blades...
In the last six months I've purchased 100 packs of: Rapira Super Stainless Rapira Platinum Lux Ladas Voskhod Gillette SB Personna Labs Astra stainless I send out a tuck of one of these every time i sell a razor on ebay so not really an AD per se...
didn't need to clarify, that what I thought you meant. I was just a little shocked that those thingy's were so cheap. now I won't have the irresistible urge for beef jerky every time I change blades.
Wow. I'm just starting with an assortment of 60 or so. With my wimpy facial hair, that could last a year. A thousand would have their edges corrode before I could use them.
I have at least (1) tuck of about 70 different brand/models of DE blades. I say "brand/model" to indicate some brands offer several different blades. For instance, Astra SS and Astra SP - same brand, different model. I'm not sure model is the right word but you get my drift. Then, of the ones I've figured out I like, I've bought some 50 packs and some 100 packs. Some time ago I'd started an Excel spreadsheet and had big ideas of doing a short term test and a long term test of every blade I could acquire but then after adding a few dozen razors I sort of lost track of what day it is.
About 400, mostly Astra SP, Personna Blue Lab, Wilkinson Sword, Ladas, and a few other odds and ends.
I only have about 30 DE blades, as I am trying a few small samplers from Try a Blade, but I have 60 + injector blades, and about 20 SE Blades, most of them GEM teflon coated stainless. Given that the SE blades last me about 20 shaves, and the injectors last me about 10 shaves each, I have in the neighborhood of 1100 shaves..... so no need to panic just yet.
