Straightforward question! What is your top aftershave? Give us your top aftershave, preferably one that you would not want to be without. Current production, vintage, really old, rare, inexpensive - anything goes. I'll go first. Mine is Fine American Blend.
Like brother @PickledNorthern my wife's favorite and therefore mine is Aramis. Make of that what you will, but I'm too damn old to be living in a van down by the river.
Yup, not optimum conditions. I didn't use AS while married 30 years. Closest I got was patchouli EO in a carrier oil from the Renaissance Fair. My Lady Friend presented me with Canoe AS & EDT. I've grown fond of Pinaud Clubman that's very similar. Because I haven't settled for just one soap I try to match or compliment an AS to carry the scent forward. Some days it's Arko & The Veg!
There are really so many good ones that I cantist just one. Lucky tiger, barrister and mann aftershaves, Stirling soap aftershaves, floid black, fine platinum, pinaud aftershaves, and chatillon lux. Those are really my stand-bys. Best cheap AS: pinaud Best AS that match: Stirling or barrister and mann Best up and coming AS: chatillon lux
My going to town stuff: Sharp Dressed Man My farting around stuff: Aqua Velva Life is simple (and good).
Tough question. For actual skin care, no contest. Lucky Tiger lotion. For scent...will have to get back to you on that.
For me, pinaud clubman is THE quintessential barbershop scent. I am instantly taken back to getting old school fade haircuts and shaves every time I sniff it. All of the barbershops around here used it (and still do) everywhere around where I live. It is an absolute staple that my den will never go without. I keep at least 2 bottles on hand at all times
Thanks to two shave soap tubs I now have, I can put my two "Clubmen" to good use. Stirling's Barbershop goes good with the original, and Rte 66's Cavendish works with the Special Reserve.
