Awesome birthday present. There was a complete set with case on the bay over a month ago but was poor shape and $95.

    - Simpson "76" bone brush
    - Reynolds "The Pearl" straight

This was my first use of this brush, freshly reknotted by Simpson in two-band silvertip. It's already one of my favorites !

    Prep- hot water face wash
    Razor - Merkur 180
    Blade - Gillette platinum plus
    Soap - tabac
    Brush - trader joes synthetic
Post - witch hazel , nuetrogena balm
    Cologne - citrus musk

A good shave today. Sorry for the lack of picture but this is the same setup as yesterday. I got a great shave today. A couple of weepers but I knew that was going to happen as my skin felt tender . This razor is really good. I don't know if it's aggressive or considered mild. But it shaves great! Very little irritation. But again my face was already a little tender.. I had hardly any stubble to begin with. I may skip tomorrow but who knows . Smooth I am and with a smile !
    Happy shaving

    Razors: Durham Duplex/ Gillette SS
Blades: What was in the Durham/ personna Blue in the SS
Brush: New VDH Badger (still smells a little).
    Cream: Proaso White (tube)
    Bowl: Dinner Table salad bowl.
    AS: Nivea Balm.

This morning was a little unique in that I was bound and determined to try the Durham, as perfect as I am, I still make mistakes (walloppuloser ), sp. Tried my best to find the sweet spot to draw the blade across my cheek(WTG)..... to no avail, pulled, hurt. Mowed down the hair right next to my skin, no need to go over it again, no blood or nicks or weepers, it just hurt. Changed over to my SS and finished with a 99% BBS. Who woulda thunk. Don`t know what to do about the Durham, just keep trying until I get it right, I guess. Well, with the outcome I am pleased. Shine on wet shavers !! 2 razors, 2 dogs.

    MENTHOL MONDAY
Splash of TSD M-Bomb added to the MdC lather; plus a Fine 'Snake Bite' finish gave me enough menthol chill to last a week.
Restored vintage Wade & Butcher full wedge; big Omega boar. Excellent shave.
    Have a great Monday, all!

Prep: Hot Shower/ Dove Men's Face Scrub
    Pre-Shave: Proraso White
    Soap: RR Son of Zeus
    Brush: Semogue OC Badger
    Razor/ Blade: Merkur 1906/ Voskhod (2)
    Astringent: Witch Hazel
    Post-Shave: SC Integrity Balm
    Aftershave: RR Son of Zeus
Great shave last night. The Semogue OC is by far my favorite badger brush. So soft, while still having backbone. Most Badger brushes I try do not have good backbone. I like RazoRock soaps a lot. They load up easily and produce a great lather. Post-shave is pretty good, but not the best. RR Aftershave splash is also very good with a great scent, but has some preservatives at the end of the ingredient list which I could do without. Sorry I have been off the forums recently--my parents came this weekend and the weather was fantastic. Have a great Monday!

image.jpeg Razor: Merker Futur Polished Chrome 2015 (1.5)
    Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready 675 badger
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: Route 66 Bourbon Jungle
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1973 - 1975 Lantern Decanter AS

Swirled up some Bourbon Jungle into my favorite OS mug. The Ever-Ready 675 badger with the original knot whipped up some nice warm lather. My Futur is a great looking razor, and on 1.5 it works will for me. I'm really happy with the quality of this razor and the great shaves I'm getting with it. It made quick work in 2 passes WTG XTG. A little touchup on my neck ATG and done. The Cucumber WH felt good, nice and cool. After cleanup some JB and when it dried, some Old Spice original Shulton AS from the '70s, Ahhhh! Y'all have a good one!
