    Two pass
I only needed two passes today after the very close shave I got yesterday. I mostly stuck with the same gear, except for using Ahava scrub pre shave. I think this one is not an everyday scrub, maybe twice a week or a nightly instead. The soap again yielded optimal lather very quickly. My wife mentioned yesterday afternoon that she liked the citrus - grassy - mossy scent, so this one lasts. I decided to use it again today for her and to get to know it better.

    Prep: Ahava Scrub
    Soap: TTFFC For Flint
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Futur
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
    AS: TTFFC For Flint

February 23: learning from my mistakes. Gillette tech, and canned goo. Gave the van Der Hagen line of blades a second shot. Thought the first one was SO bad, it had to be defective... Not so. It didn't feel bad until the ATG on my upper lip. pain. Bloodshed. Tears and curses. Won't make that mistake again. Live and learn!

Good morning TSD :) My tuesday shave:

    2302.jpg

    - The Handmade Soap Co.
    - Grosvenor "Finest"
    - Rockwell 6S
    - Polsilver SI
    - Tüff sensitiv

I received this soap a while ago and initially I was disappointed by the fact that the company changed the formulation. This used to be a tallow based soap, now it's vegan (though their website still lists tallow as a main ingredient). But I gave it a try anyways - and I have to say this is a pretty good soap. It is a hard soap (I grated the puck into a Grundtal tin), it is thirsty - I had to add quite a bit of water - but produces some nice, slick lather. To my surprise I don't have anything bad to say about the overall performance. Post shave the Route 66 soaps I used lately are much better - but then this Irish soap costs just 7,99 €. For this price it is remarkably good.

The shave itself was an experiment ;) Two passes with the Rockwell Razor (R1 base plate, XTG and ATG) resulted in a DFS. Then I wanted to see how much better it can get - and chose the Mühle R41 for a third pass. A very smooth pass ATG actually - but this beast cought quite a bit of stubble ... and left behind a squeaky clean BBS face and one happy shaver :happy088: AS was very quiet, that's how I like it.

What a wonderful Tuesday shave with my favorite razor, the polished Blackbird. My first time using the Route 66 soap and i must say it really impressed me with loads of thick, cushiony & slick lather and the scent is very nice as well .. love this combo!
and finished it off with a big splash of Speick

Good morning my friends. This morning was my first shave with the new to me Muhle R41 head. Unbelievable! @Mr. Freeze93 :thanks: you were absolutely right, I love this razor head! :love029::love055: This is the smoothest most comfortable dolphin smooooth I've ever been. If you are someone who has whiskers that grow in various directions and require several strokes in different directions, this razor head is for you. If you want efficiency and are comfortable with your technique, this is for you. I was done in two passes but did three just to continue my enjoyment. Outstanding! Route 66 provided tons of sweet smelling luxurious, slick lather in just a few swirls. Loaded in it's own container and face lathered, then finished the stellar shave with the icey goodness of Stirling's Mita balm. Have a great shave and a great day friends. :)

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Razor: Maggard MR1 handle with V2 open comb
    Brush: Trader Joe's synthetic
    Lather: TSD unscented shave stick
Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with drug store 'New Spice', Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Nice CCS this morning following a one-pass with touch-up approach. I haven't quite dialed in the soap stick yet. The Trader Joe's brush and soap stick combination is one that I might take traveling so I'm wanting to practice with it some. I just don't have the ratio and proportions down quite yet, but I'll get there. The soap from the TSD stick is amazing stuff regardless. I need to fiddle with the water on my face, on the soap stick, on the brush, etc.

Good results from the Gillette Silver Blue blade and the Maggard open comb continues to work wonders. I really like this open comb razor.

I hope you folks have a great Tuesday!

My shave was very smooth and enjoyable thanks to my Super Speed/Astra combination. I had great lather from the Sottozero soap and although it's not a face-freezer it's still very pleasantly-cooling. Perhaps just a bit milder than the Proraso Green soap or cream. Its scent is lovely, and it's quite good in the skincare department. I cannot get over how awesome the Shambala aftershave smells and how long it lasts. It's also really cooling! :happy088: :happy088:
