I think that's a 1946-47 by the looks of the razor and case. They're great razors!

 

just picked up ANOTHER slim (H4)....cleaning her up right now...dont remembe who (tried to find it) but someone was looking for one.

 

I bought the case separate.. I saw it for cheap so I got it. When I start and finish my shave den this summer . Ideally I'd like the cases to put on the shelves. For those that I don't have cases for, I plan on either building stands or buying them.

 

Lol in the auction I just one, I'll be having another slim as well. Lol now I'm gonna have duplicates..

Quite a few pics for only two items from today's trip, but...
First, I'm assuming this was for soap. I figured for $1.50 I couldn't lose. And if nothing else, it goes with my nautical ship theme.


Second, a C-MON for $35. I'm only listing the price because I thought it was good for what seems to be a sought after razor. (??). I have yet to use a straight and need to send a couple I have in to be professionally made shave ready.




The diamond is painted red, if that means anything, and has J M on the scales. Is that someones initials?

 

Or I can have one in both hands.... Lol now that's skill

You most certainly found a great blade at a steal of a price. You should post it in the straight razor thread and I'm sure the veyerans will help explain more. Nice score!

I was just reading up on Google and saw that on others. I posted in the straight razor thread also and am still sifting through Google to find more info.

 

So the aristricrat that I received earlier cleaned up well. It could use a hot water/ soap bath, but the scrubbing bubbles took care of a lot of the mess. There are scratches here and there, there is minimal plating loss.. But this isn't a show queen .. This baby is gonna work for her living.

 

Cleaned up super nice! Look forward to your thoughts after the test drive.
