My Friedr Schlemper and SRD Paddle strop arrived today. The strop is very well made, I think I will like it. The razor is in great shape, but dull. The edge looks OK, so I think I will try a refresh on my Naniwa SS 12000 that is on it's way. If I can't get it, it's off to Glen to have a pro fix it up. I eventually would enjoy the whole honing process, but I gotta learn to shave with these first.

Just got this in today. I have a ways to go to get one of each style of Schick Injector, but I am one step closer to completing my collection of L's. The latest is the Schick Stick to go with the Easy Rider, The Championship, the Grip, the Twin, and the other various L's I have. Does anyone know about the quality of the Gillette Platinum blades?

In doing some research, it appears this is a "Gentelmans relish" pot. What is Gentelmans relish you ask? Evidently it is a seasoned anchovy spread for your toast, crumpets, crackers or whatever your heart desires to spread salty fish on. Appears to be big in the UK since there were quite a few examples all showing up in the eBay.UK site.

So after using it I can say it's pretty good. Good cushion and glide, good protection, post shave feel isn't quite as good as say CRSW but still good. I'd get more.

Those jars/pots were indeed sold with tooth paste and shaving creams in them. They also used them for preserved foods though, and it appears yours used to contain paté sold in Harrods
I have one with a military theme (not nearly as nice as yours) and after doing some digging I found out it used to contain preserved mushrooms It holds a puck of soap though - Just be careful not to drop it

Thanks. I had to order more stroppe shoppe soaps since they are going out of business. And since you get free shipping after 75 dollars you know i had to get 3 more. Hahaha

I don't have a stroppe shoppe soap, try saying that 3 times fast I really should get one before its too late. But like you and everyone else do I need more soap? No

Looks like they are almost gone. To me they are a top performing soap. Russian tea is one of my favorites. I hate to see them go.
