That's so cool. Great history and a fascinating design. Thanks for that. I prefer the Williams to the O'chelly, based on looks of course.
February 24 Weber Polished Head DE Feather (3) Kent BK4 silvertip badger Route 66 Lumberjack Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Fine Platinum 1961 Bulova "His Excellency" on a gator strap I enjoyed a great two-pass shave this morning. The Kent brush whipped up an excellent Route 66 lather, as usual, for near BBS results. I hope you all are having a terrific week.
That was Scully near the end of Sandy Koufax 4th no hitter, which was a perfect game. (for those who don't know).
You could use the shave randomizer that @BigCabDaddy had. I think @Primotenore used one as well. That could be really fun!
All I can say at this time is that I'm depressed Harvard won't make it for the 5th time in a row. It was a rebuilding year.
And what a ridiculous idea NB16 was for me, especially after successful SR conversion... But alas, I am in it to win it.
Something similar to this might really be the ticket for me in March. I am not sure what to choose as a focus. The random pairings would create some good match-ups and would work in some lesser used soaps and after shaves. I'll have to consider this path.
If I just went one brush, I still have 120 unique setups. Hypothetical TSD member: 12 razors 5 brushes 20 soaps 20 Aftershaves 24000 unique setups, or 65+ years to try them all. Get cracking!
February Focus - German blades DONE! Best of the Best to the Finish! February 24 Razor - Nothing, nothing at all Blade - Nada, nope, none. Brush - Zip, zero, zilch Soap - None whatsoever Post - Nothing to follow up on. No shave this morning. They were predicting several inches of snow so I slept in a bit, then got up figuring I was running about an hour behind with traffic issues, jumped in the shower, threw on my clothes, grabbed my stuff and opened the door ready to fight my way to work. I had seen enough on the news to know that one of the major interstates was shut down due to power lines down across it. Horror stories on the roads south of STL and downtown. Funny, just a dusting here. And, when I headed west to work the snow totally disappeared within a mile. Narrow band that buried things 15 miles to the East and didn't touch us. Had plenty of time to shave, just wasn't smart enough to look out a window before getting ready. Oh well. Tomorrow I'll pick it back up and will be using the '59 Super Speed and the Treet Black Beauty carbon for two days. The plan called for the Super Max Super Platinum but when I went to my stash I discovered I don't have one. So, I'll use my favorite carbon blade instead.
Going all Lord of the Flies after one day in the snow...sheesh. Two days growth? Pain stick time! If anybody that is in the B.O.P.S. could entertain the idea of letting me borrow one for a couple days? I'll cover postage and any blades I consume. (@RaZorBurn123 - if this is a rules no-no, please delete, I could post in classifieds, but I am not trying to buy or sell, so didn't know what to do here. Just trying to spare a kind soul any additional costs associated with my latest dumb idea. ) Julius Ceasar took a risk on the Ides of March. It didn't go well, blood was shed, and the story is alive today. Will I fare any better? 2 2
Alert the "stupid Neal tricks" crowd. The pain stick will be returning in March for me. I'll be comparing the Kai Captain Mild, Kai Captain Origina., Feather Pro and Feather Super Pro blades. A week on each. If I had an extra pain stick it would be shipping tonight just so you can join the fun!
Day 55 - 90 Day Intro to SR SOTD - 23 February 2016 Whipped Dog 5/8 L'Occitane Plisson Synthetic Route 66 - Lumberjack Alum TSD 2x Iced Florida Water Type AS Strop it up, it mows them down. Kept it to a minimum, just one good pass and a splash. Felt great! Have a triumphant Thursday!
I wouldn't say that but I was lucky enough to win a pif from Linuxguile that had everything needed to start my journey. I can see an injector coming in the future though. This is going to be fun!
