    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Razor: Maggard MR1 with V2 open comb
    Brush: Trader Joe's synthetic
Lather: TSD unscented shave soap stick
Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with drug store 'New Spice', Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Another nice and easy CCS this morning. My lather was much better than the past two days. The lather was drying up on my neck and chin but today it was much better. I used a more wet brush and pushed down a little more and went more deliberate with the first face lathering strokes. That helped spread the moisture around more evenly. I'll say again that the TSD soap is really a great product.

I've also been experimenting with adding some Old Spice knock-off to the witch hazel splash for a little more zing and a little scent. That has been working well.

The open comb razor continues to be a great choice. I like it a lot, and it's even better with a Silver Blue blade.

I'll change up products tomorrow - Wool Fat Friday for me!

I hope you have a great Thursday!

Last night was my third shave with the Bunny. See here and here if you want to know about the Bunny. I was going to shave this morning but it's an early and busy morning today and I had 32 hours of beard ready. So, why not just shave before bedtime? Plus, I can probably squeeze in one more shave this way before sending the Bunny on her way next week in the pass around. :happy036:

The reduction after the first pass was remarkable and you can imagine that the second pass would have been more than good enough with some wet touch ups but I went for broke with a third pass - no surprise.

Bottom line: Best shave yet and a shave that is every bit as close and smooth as I get on a good day with my PAL Injecto Matic. :git:

Well, after yesterday's surprise ruling by the judges to crown the Gillette Silver Blue the top blade for 2016, I could settle into a groove with this marvel of blade engineering magic. And what a delight. I thought to really enjoy the day I would dig to the bottom of my sock drawer and enjoy some Proraso Green. I don't know why they call this a beginner's soap...it is a soap for all skill levels and ages. It is quite simply a classic. Delightful shave this morning. :chores016:

A great shave today, as close as yesterday's shave with the Stick Schick. The Omega is a great lathering brush. Very soft tips that are great for face lathering.

This is hands down my favorite brush. It was my first "nice" shaving brush and I've had very good luck with this one. No tangling, no bird's nest. It has a relatively short loft and is a little scritchy, but a 3-5 minute soak takes care of that. It always provides a slick and shiny lather. It won't whip up giant merengue type lathers, but does great for face lathering. Oh yeah, it will also eat through some soaps pretty quickly.

Fifth shave with the 39c, so I decided to change the blade to a Feather. I used a Feather in my Blue Tip earlier so that makes me an expert, right? While the shave was easily as close (5 BBS in a row) I am not particularly impressed with this blade. It is obviously sharp, but I didn't find it as smooth or comfortable as the Astra SP. The Feather felt rough and tugged ever so slightly. The Astra's are nearly imperceptible except that your beard disappears. Previous shaves with the 39c have let me put on AS with no feedback whatsoever. This time I got a little sting, not much, but enough to notice. Onward and upward![IMG]

Its a great looking brush. My white horse hair version unfortunately tangled/birdnested, which is a to bad as it was also one of my favorites.
