I have a short horse head bottle, bluish green bottle, aqua color content. I don't know what it is but it smells great. If anyone knows what it could be please tell me.

It's amazing how regional stuff is. Couldn't hardly find any Avon on the west coast, yet it's in every flea market and antique store here in the mid west. Just the opposite for Old Spice. I remember dad having a few cars, golf bag and water pump decanters.

Here's my collection so far. I tried to keep with a theme, otherwise there are thousands of AVON bottles/designs that could be purchased that I've passed up.

Also, for those collecting chess pieces, they have both brown bottle/chrome cap and vice versa (chrome bottle/brown cap) as seen with the Kings I have.

PS. This is only one of each I have. I have duplicates of the razor, Barber poll, and brush.

I only have one Avon bottle, and its of a German shepherd.
This isn't a picture of mine, since mine is packed away in storage right now only difference is mine is still in the box and the dogs head is still in a sealed plastic wrap.

Avon has quite a history. When I hit the teens years my mom used to get me decanters for Xmas. I gave a bunch them (full) to my brothers when I left for the Army. Of course they chucked them. I sure wish I had them now.

I have the DE, Brush, and a Jeep. I'd probably collect them if I had room but they are just so hard on real estate....

My grandmother used to sell Avon, so different decanters were always around her house. I think my aunt has many of them now. I don't remember seeing the barber pole but now I really want to find one of those.

I've usually seen their protein hair lotion in that horseshoe bottle, as it has a bluish cast to it. Since it's that color, and in that bottle, I'm betting it's either Bracing Lotion, Electric Pre-Shave Lotion, or Sure Winner, possibly a few others.

I also have the blue-green version of that apothecary bottle which I'm putting in the Travel Box when it arrives.

I liked that bottle the couple of times they had it but IIRC that version of BR was tweaked with vanilla and it always gave me a headache. Very nice otherwise, though.

I'd be interested in the talc, if you're interested in selling.

I've been using it as aftershave, It seems to work fine. Smells good and tones the face good.

I haven't used it since I didn't know what it would do. I may give it a try.

Who knows, maybe I'll get to shave twice a day!

I was out with the missus earlier and I saw one of those barber pole bottles. It was 10 bucks if anyone wants/needs one I can go grab it and you can reimburse me. I was empty but the label said Wild Country IIRC.
