    The Proraso Green Shaving Soap is nearing its end. I have one or two more shaves left. It has had a good run. The Proraso Green face-lathered well with my Semogue Owners Club boar brush. Two passes with my new Gillette Blue Tip razor and a Astra SP blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    SHAVE OF THE DAY

    Prep: Occams crushed lime
    Razor: Gillette Single Ring OC
    Blade: Timor (2nd shave)
    Brush: RazoRock plissoft
    Soap: SDM
    Post: Aqua Velva (decanted)
    Balm: T&H 1805 sample


    2 pass shave today. The SDM soap made a thick lather, the scent is very light, but the slickness and post shave were great for todays shave. Finished off with AV and a sample of 1805 balm. Hope everyone had a great shave!

    My shave today:
    Astra sp (New)
    Stirling stainless handle razor
    Frozen tundra sample
    Stirling 24mm synthetic

    So I tried my first mentholated soap today, which is the third most mentholated one. The face freeze...was AWESOME!! Never felt that good during a shave before :) and the lather was awesome. Still need some practice on how much water, but I got a bbs (minus some trouble spots that I'm going to make my 30 day focus) and no irritation. No nicks. No weepers. Just a wonderful, smooth, cold water shave :) the only thing is I need time to adjust to such a heavy handle. It helpd with not applying pressure and had tons of grip, I just haven't used one before. All in all, bliss.

    I do believe I am a menthol monkey from today on :) Since I handled the frozen tundra well, I want to try his coldest soap, but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it

    I find the face freeze makes shaving even more fun sometimes because my face gets so numb I can't feel the blade! :happy102::Animatedfrozensmily:

    You'll love it! It's absurdly cold! I cry throughout most of my shave with it from the menthol. Love it :happy036:
