Tabacstag! This shave was Tabac vs three days growth, but not really on purpose. Thursday was a snow day, so I was lazy, then I forgot to set my alarm Friday and slept in too late to shave. I finally got some Tabac aftershave on Friday, so I had to try it out today. I used Van Yulay PSO and let it sit while I brushed my teeth. Tabac provided optimal lather as usual, setting up my stubble for its Futur while protecting my skin. This was a great shave despite a careless weeper. I expected the aftershave to sting, but it only felt good.
TSD offers a menthol additive that you could use to control how much menthol you get. Some mild menthol soaps: Proraso Green Reef Point Tranquility
I froze my face off and enjoyed it so much - that's all I can say. Long live the Glacial Obsidian stuff!

That's a beautiful, beautiful set up Ram. One big reason I got into wet shaving is the beauty of the tools and the "ceremony ". Ram, I also understand from what little I've read that your wife is ill, best wishes to you both. I wish her a speedy recovery.
SOTD February 27, 2016 Prep: Warm shower Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick G1 injector (late 1940s) Brush: Omega 10049 boar Lather: Arko Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with Fine Platinum, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, XTG, touch-up Jekyll and Hyde type of shave today. My cheeks and most of my upper face is really smooth. But I had some difficult areas around my jaw and neck that I just couldn't seem to get. Overall a decent shave, but certainly not my best. I really like the Injector and look forward to practicing with it more as the famous Bunny makes it way around to me. Have a great weekend everyone!
Saturday Shave Prep-Dial 4 Men Bodywash(Ultimate Clean)-in shower Cream-Barbasol Original Razor-Gillette Sensor 2 Pivot + DisposeABLE A.S.-Wm. Neumann Heartwood sampler The Heartwood is a little better than the 1911 in my opinion. Went on smoother. Quicker to settle in and show the "manliness".
Yes, I read that too, about TSD's "menthol control"..actually I read that about the aftershaves, but I can well imagine that being the case for the soaps, too.
