Picture Heavy!!! Thanks to @Gabe, I'm a proud owner of a Real 1914 Ever Ready!! That's right, "Patent Pending"!! I have done no cleaning or polishing. Love the lines of these oldies. For a 100 year old razor, it's a beauty!! Also, I received this badger brush and razor from The Clean Shaver to try out. Nice weight. The head reminds me of the RR Slab. Handle has good knurling with a little length. Overall very nice. I'm going to try them out this weekend.
Kerry, I already have the Shambala which I love so much. After using this Black Powder twice already I can tell you that it's definitely going to be part of my aftershave rotation - it smells gorgeous and lasts all day, just like Shambala does!
Picked up this tin the other day. I photographed it with a razor for scale. It's 7.5" tall and 5.5" in diameter. I'm thinking it's large enough for a lifetime supply of used blades. Or maybe a piggy bank to save up for more gear.
My wife made the mistake of going for a pedicure in a nail shop right next to an antique shop. I finally have a Schick type E-2
Got a nice haul on Leap Day! Received some spring/ summer scents just in time for Menthol Monday. Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill and MITA Soaps Stirling MITA Aftershave Splash (Alcohol based) Customer service is top notch. Received a hand-written note with my order, as well as two sample sized bath soaps (Bay Rum and Sharp Dressed Man). The scents smell great--glacial lemon chill like a cough drop mixed with ice cold lemonade. MITA smells just like a Margarita. The Bay Rum is sweeter and smells very nice--and I usually don't love bay rums.
Postman just came by. Dropped off my Tabac refill and a 24mm Maggard Synthetic that I actually forgot that I had purchased..lol
I ordered some Indian Old Spice shaving cream (70gr) and aftershave (50ml) a week ago on eBay, and it arrived today. I wasn't a big fan of Old Spice before, and that hasn't really changed, but the Indian AS is definitely better than the ones I can get locally. The Indian OS is warmer, creamier and generally smells like it has better ingredients. There's none of the synthetic harshness that I find overpowers the OS sold here. The shaving cream was a pleasant surprise - the scent is much more toned down, so much so that for me, it became an almost generic scent which made it very nice, haha! I picked up hints of Spanish Floid and LEA sensitive shaving cream while test lathering (lather is fine btw). As I'm writing this, I can tell you that the longevity of the Indian AS is better as well. I put some on the back of each hand and the western OS is completely gone now, while the Indian is still going strong.
