These blades will work with the Durham Duplex. Only problem is that you have to order them from a med supply store in 100 count quantities.

I would save the Durham Duplex blades for PIF or display. All the vintage ones I have tried were horrible shavers. From what I remember, on a pass-around, I believe the Personna blades were included too. They might be great blades, but I couldn't get them to work well in the Durham.

I haven`t tried the personnas but the vintages are horrible. I`m not sure about palming off something that is not a good product to someone I might like. that`s the reason I was looking for a collector(who wouldn`t use them). I`ll research some more. Happy shaving.

I've seen some who get great shaves from vintage Durham Duplex blades, but as with most carbon blades, unless they are stored in optimal conditions, the edge will dull. I haven't had any luck, on any vintage carbon steel blades, only vintage stainless blades. I did have an Allegro Blade sharpener/hone, that was designed for the Durham Blades, unfortunately I traded it for a Clix Glass hone a long while back. It would probably brought your blades back to life.

I haven't tried too many blades, just Merkur, Astra SP, Shark SS, Voskhod, and Derby. But I've found Astra SPs are everything I want in a blade, can't imagine finding anything better than that, especially for the price. Sharp and efficient yet smooth on the skin, even in my Fatip Grande.
