    Hello TSD

Did not have much time this morning, and since I didn't want to rush a straight razor shave, it was just a quick 2-pass DE shave here today.

    Noxema preshave cream
Gillette Heavy Tech / Gillette Silver Blue:love055::love055:
    Omega / Haslinger Schafmilch
    WH / shea butter

Haslinger Schafmilch is one of those soaps that if you use it every day it softens up nicely and with just a few swirls of the brush it creates a thick, slick lather. And I love the scent.:love029: If I was only using this soap for one day in a larger rotation I would probably let the puck air dry for a few hours before I re-shelf the container, but it looks like this week is shaping up to be a Schafmilch week.
It is hard to believe this is the first of March.:happy093:I think we have seen the worst of winter and now I can look forward to working in the garden in a few weeks. :chores016:

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Personna lab blue (1)
Razor: Maggard MR1 handle with V2 open comb
    Brush: Trader Joe's synthetic
    Lather: Proraso White shaving soap
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Efficient CCS this morning with a restoration of faith. Two of the last three shaves were subpar and yesterday's in particular left me with some irritation of my neck and a bad nick under my nose. That was using a Schick G1 injector. I like the G1 a lot but it needs some more time for training! So I went back to the Maggard razor today.

I forgot how much I enjoy Proraso White! I used it a lot during the month of January when I was first starting out with DE shaving. I put it away last month to use some other soaps, but today was a reminder of how much I enjoy it.

The Trader Joe's brush is a little stiff compared to my other synthetic. I'm going to use it more this month to try and figure out its quirks. It went behaved quite well today and I loaded up lots of soap that turned into nice, thick, cushiony lather. I could have done five more passes with the leftovers in the brush.

The V2OC from Maggard is continuing to win me over. It is efficient and easy to handle. Paired with a Personna blade is a winning combination.

    Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Proraso White is quality soap... it and its brethren often get lost in the artisan bounty we find ourselves in right now.

Leaving in the morning so I'm posting tonight's shave now.
Ao Nam Mao beach, Krabi, Thailand.
The usual suspects have been giving me great shaves for over a month. Thanks to the Blackbird, Ikon Slant, Envyshave Alluminati, Da Vinci Uomo 299, Dr. Jon's Classic soap, and Gentlemen's Refinery Standard cream and after shave.
