the Vanilla is one of my favorite of the Clubman offerings. It is on the sweet side, but in a good way. Doesn't seem to get as much love as the original. I would recommend getting a sample first to see how you like it.

There you have it - another chilly setup which I really love. That Black Ice soap may not be quite the intense face-freezer that its "cousin" which is the Glacial Obsidian but it still delivers a pretty good menthol punch, especially on the second pass with great lather, a really nice anise scent and soothing skincare which is so typical of Rod's soaps. The Black Powder aftershave became a big favourite of mine so fast - it smells delicious and feels so cooling!

Oh, a special shout-out to my wonderful Plissoft brush!

I agree on the soap artisan. Excellent product.

 

Brush - Semogue 1470 Boar. The Vintagescent lowest price brush. Please note that I did not say their "cheapest" brush. This is a fine little boar. Good back bone, very nice for face lathering. Highly recommended.

Razor - Gillette Black Tip - A wonderful razor. It is like this razor was made for my face. Blade angle, heft, handle length are perfect. I always get a great shave with this razor.

Blade - Baili. I believe these come out of China. Sharp. I get good shaves without concern with nicks or cuts. Good for 3 or 4 shaves.

Scuttle - Michal Yoresh. Modiin, Israel. A medium size scuttle. Excellent quality, nice color. Keeps the lather toasty warm.

Soap - Strop Shoppe Baker Street Original. Great scent; lather, cushion, slickness, post shave feel are top-notch. Too bad they are no longer selling soaps.

AS - Pinaud Bay Rum. A favorite of mine. Nice scent.

What is," Eufros Brisa de Oriente" in English, Breeze East or East Breeze?

 

How do you like the Paladin? I have one from the original issue and have used it 4 or 5 times. A beautiful handle but a knot for which I do not care. This knot gets great reviews....just not for me.

Douglas, Brisa de Oriente translates to "Breeze of the East"...

 

Breeze of the east is the exact translation.

 

On most shave forums it is mentioned as "Eastern Breeze". I have this soap and it is my favorite all-time scent. Manuel mixed a magical aroma.
