Ordered some Clubman talc. I like to apply a post shave oil to take away any aggression/irritation but it leaves me feeling too greasy. Then I tried a dabbing of talc to absorb the oil and it feels great but only had Johnsons at hand which isn't exactly a masculine scent. I'm hoping for a nice post shave scent from Clubman. Trouble is it's coming from New York so on a weeks delivery. Anyone who has any experience with this greatly appreciated.
It's lighter than you might expect (as it has a hollow/foam core) - but man, it shaves great and that long handle is really nice.
I recently discovered that there was an 1800's label of straight razors named M J Higgins. I haven't been able to find out much more than they are Sheffield blades of high esteem. I bid and won this one. it should be here in a week or so. should go nicely with my Higgins shave mug.
Picked up two things; a) Another small, vintage American shaving brush. The knot actually looks pretty decent. The brand is Set-In-Tite and had a price of $6 b) Something I've only seen in photos before - the white Wilkinson bonded razor (sample razor) This one comes complete with box and papers for $5
This is why I can't be trusted on eBay. Two straights. @gssixgun, I found a Thistle. Also found a Boker that appears to have very little hone wear. The Thistle looks a little rough.
Just received word my Brad Sears Beehive is ready to ship. Faux Ivory with 5mm slice of Faux Horn in the middle. It is a 26mm Manchurian in bulb, set at a loft of 54mm.
