Seems like the bunnies are getting some extra customs-love. I don't think a single one of the foreign-country-bound ones have made it to their destinations yet (not counting the special mail delivery agreement the Scots have )
Thanks, that was a great instructional video. Mandatory viewing for any pass-around participants I'd say
Ok, it was worth being giddy because the Canadian Bunny arrived today.... Here is my first view, and man the packaging blew me away. This thing looks so professional. I took a quick pic and have been busy posting and messaging Canadians, I havent even got it out of the box yet.... I wont be able to wait till tomorrow to try it out and will likely be shaving with it in short order...I'll post a report later..
I just finished a 3 pass shave with the MILD and a new Chick. Super smooth zero irritation. It was just a days worth of whiskers. Tom
I had a word in Auld Donald Trumps Ear Hole..His Turnberry Hotel is just 10 min up the road..Good friend of mine you know.. Billy..
First Shave - Mild Comb Although I shaved this morning, I just didnt want to wait till tomorrow to try out the Bunny for the first time. First thoughts as I took it out of the package and held it for the first time was...its lighter than I had imagined. Not the lightest razor in my den but surely not heavy. It seems balanced and very similar to holding a Schick type F. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly well built this is. As a Journeyman tradesman (past life) I can truly appreciate the quality machining and extraordinary fit and finish. Inserting the injector key and loading a blade into the empty razor was uneventful for the most part considering it being the first time and an empty razor. Onto the shave: Finding the angle seemed second nature and very close to what the Schick B razor feels like in hand. The razor head seemed to glide extremely well against my face during the entire 1st pass north/south. I had one weeper on my adams apple from a nick I got from my type F on Monday. Somehow I managed not to cause a weeper this morning in that spot. 2nd pass was partly XTG and ATG and was really just a clean up pass and farting around with different directions. The alum block and aftershave were both silent and there wasnt any irritation at all. Facerbating as I type this post some 30 minutes later and my face is oh so smooth. This razor shaves as well as any vintage Schick in my den. Being less aggressive (with the mild comb anyways) makes it a more pleasureable to use razor than some of my Schicks and all my Pal injectors just because it can be converted easily from wild to mild (Big Bad Bill, Sweet William or 1/2 way in between is only a simple adjustment away). If you're an injector lover and especially if you're a vintage repeater afficienado this razor needs to be in your den. Tomorrow I will try the notso comb to see how much it differs from the mild. I will be sticking with the same pre shave routine and shaving soap (D.R. Harris) tomorrow to reduce the possible variables.
Great review and happy to see it worked out well for you as well. So...that brush in the backround...do you want my address or how do you want to send it over?
