Hello TSD - my last shave this week, I guess. I have an appointment with an oral surgeon at noon - getting all 4 wisdom teeth removed :D

    - Chiseled Face "Ghost Town Barber"
    - Semogue OC Badger
    - Merkur Futur on 6
    - Polsilver SI
    - Tüff sensitiv

Very nice setup for an effortless and smooth BBS shave. Though the blade seems to be past its prime ... the final touches have been a little tuggy.

One d... fine shave this morning of late; Fitjar's Fjellheim lather the 'goose did abate. A more outdoorsy finish would have matched the juniper and pine - but the Fresh Vetiver is just Fine.

And the brush, you ask, did I forget it this time? Oh nay, I did not, it just wouldn't rhyme. But it was a New Forest of the stubby kind; you can see it in the photo, a little behind.

Not a big poet but I got a good shave,
And that, my friends, is all that I crave ;)

    A merry Wednesday to all!

Oh, and Martin @Marverel - good luck tomorrow!

    GOOD MORNING TSD!! 03/02/16 SOTD

    Weishi 9306
    Big Ben Stainless(1)
    Waleda Cream
    Synthetic Brush
    Cold Water Rinse,Alum Block
    Aqua Velva Classic A/S

Had a very nice and comfortable shave this morning,I bowl lathered the Waleda instead of face lathering with great results I might add a very rich and slick lather.
The Weishi and Big Ben combo was very smooth tho not the sharpest blade I've ever used but none the less still got the job done.
It's the first time I tried Aqua Velva A/S very cooling and refreshing, after all "There's Something About an Aqua Velva Man":D
So I guess this is the part where I say I got a BBS shave .:happy088: DSCF0147.JPG

    HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!:)

    Wine Wednesday
Fireside yielded optimal lather as usual. Der Futur cut my stubble closely and smoothly. For Flint is nice scent combination with the soap and leaves my skin feeling moisturized and smooth.

    Prep: Van Yulay PSO
    Soap: B&M Fireside
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: der Futur
    Blade: Voskhod (1)
    AS: TTFFC For Flint

    Prep: warm wash
    Lather: Dusy Kabinett
    Brush: RR Plissoft
    Razor: Gillette Fatboy
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
    Post: Old Spice

Day 2 of a blade trial and use of a Fatboy. I like this razor. I'm not certain it is worth the premium price over the Slim. Very similar shaves, however, the Fatboy may be a touch milder at the same settings. Shaved at setting 6 today. I only have this razor for 2 weeks, so I may stick with it for that amount of time. However, the pass around included a PAL adjustable and I will need to give it a spin as well, so the Fatboy might not last.

    Weber PH
    Feather (4)
    Kent BK4 silvertip badger
    Route 66 Lumberjack
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Fine Platinum

This was my last DE shave before moving to my SE focus. However, it was the first time (that I can remember, anyway) shaving with a Feather blade on day four. It tugged a bit toward the end of the shave, so I think three shaves and out with a Feather blade is good for me.

Overall, it was a good shave, though. Two passes (ATG and XTG) provided near BBS results. I just go slow and enjoy the experience of stretching the skin and paying close attention to the sound and feel of the blade against my skin. This should help me when I start using my straight. I have really enjoyed the last three months with my DEs, and I have improved my shaving technique.

I can see more of the bottom of the Route 66 Lumberjack container each day. I've been intentionally working my soap inventory down over the last few months. I celebrated my progress by ordering a Tabac shave stick refill yesterday. :D

I hope you all have a blessed day.

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Personna lab blue (2)
Razor: Maggard MR1 handle with V2 open comb
    Brush: Trader Joe's synthetic
    Lather: Proraso White shaving soap
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Pretty nice shave this morning. I'm closer to DFS than on most weekdays. I almost stopped after just the one pass but I went in and touched up my neck. The Proraso lathered beautifully this morning - really thick, nice, slick lather. The Trader Joe's brush is working really well now that I've had some time to use it. All in all a good shave.

Hope you all have a great Wednesday!
