Another lovely, relaxed, and super-smooth shave with my new Junjie razor which cost me just three bucks and change. It's not as gentle as my 1950's Super Speed, but it's not a particularly aggressive DE either. I'll be returning to the Super Speed perhaps as early as tomorrow. The Plissoft brush turned the Black Ice soap in to rich, thick, slick, black liquorice-scented lather with a good menthol effect and it felt so good on my face. That Black Powder aftershave not only feels downright cold, it smells absolutely beautiful! :happy088: :happy088:

    RR Plissoft
    VDH Delux

4 shaves with the lux still smooth and sharp, its encroaching upon GSB territory. I'm convinced that the Plissoft can whip anything into an amazing lather, not that the VDH is a bad soap or anything. Normally with my Satin Tip it takes a little more work to get the VDH to the right consistency but the Plissoft had it there in no time! Two passes and some clean up for an irritation free DFS. Happy shaving everyone!

    image.jpeg Razor: Feather AS-D2 2015
Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: Truefitt&Hill Grafton
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Tommy Bahamas St. Barts cologne
The Feather is heavy, a little more than my FB, but I like heavy metal. The quality is as near perfect as you will find, and packaged like Apple packages their iPhones. Very nicely done. The fresh Feather blade locked in like a vault, what a precision machine. I need to use it more often. Whipped up a thumb nail size dollop of the T&H in my favorite mug with the Silvertip. I let the weight of the razor do all the work. WTG XTG on my face and neck and then ATG on my neck. Nice and slick lather and I can buff a little on the hard to get spots for a very nice smooth shave. The head is wider and totally covers the ends of the blade, which gives it a clean look. I've never had an issue with catching a blade edge on my ear or nose, but this would take that out of the equation. I can, however, get into a couple spots easier than some of my other razors for a BBS shave. Very nice! The handle is the longest I have except for my Toggle, but it's not an issue, as I tend to change my grip from the end for a very light touch, to up closer to the head, for buffing. Finished with the WH, and then some soothing JB. After cleanup some Tommy Bahamas St. Barts cologne. Have a good one y'all!

    My SOTD
    image.jpeg
    Prep- hot water face wash
Razor - blue tip , aristricrat ( for clean up )
Blades - Israel store brand , the spoiler Gillette super stainless ( in aristricrat)
    Brush - trader joes synthetic
    Cream - Cremo
    Soap - tabac
Post shave- witch hazel , sample jack black balm
    Cologne - Pinaud bay rum

Shave went well. No irritation, no blood!! This is my first time using the blue tip and it's a great razor. I had to pull out the aristricrat to clean up as the blue was cutting it. I used the Cremo with the tabac, but the first pass was the only pass with slickness. The other passes were dry as usual. I am very happy with my shave.. Just shy of the BBS.. But at least I got close without the irritation!!!!
    Happy shaving gents !
