The wassail soap caught my attention. How is it? Sounds very interesting.

    Razor: Schick G4
    Blade: Ted Pella (2)
    Soap: Italian Barber
    Brush: Omega Synthetic
    Pre shave oil: Shave Secret
Pre shave cleanser: Soft Soap men`s + care (antibacterial)
    AS: Dove men + care

As I run my hands over my face, I feel nothing but smooth skin. Dare I assume a BBS? My 1st pass, WTG - no detours, straight forward (felt good). The 2nd pass, ATG with a couple side strokes ( where needed), my upper lip and under my lower lip (concave area), slant strokes there. Rinsed lightly, leaving a slick coat. My clean up was done with some weird strokes to say the least. Just how can you have this much fun doing a routine chore ( to most people). We must be out of our ever loving minds.

Prep: Hot shower/ Eco Pure Man Face Scrub
    Pre-Shave: PAA Ice
    Soap: Italian Barber Acquatico
    Brush: Semogue OC Boar
    Razor/ Blade: Defitch D91 Handle & Muhle R41 Head/ Voskhod (2)
    Post-Shave: Nivea Cooling Balm
    Aftershave: Fine Clean Vetiver
Pretty horrible shave last night. The Acquatico just doesn't live up to my standards. I have mixed feeling about Razorock soaps--they always seem to give me a decent shave, but nothing special. They are a good value, but I would rather have a few great soaps rather than a bunch of ok soaps. This soap took forever to load up and I still didn't get enough. It is a very soft soap and I used a boar brush, so it should have been no problem. The lather just never got great and it dissipated very quickly after the first pass. Barely had any lather left to make a second pass. I really get fluctuating results from Razorock--some shaves seem pretty good and I like them, and some are like this where it just does not work for me. I probably won't be purchasing more Razorock soaps to be perfectly honest. On a different note, I think I have a defective Semogue OC Boar brush. It loses hairs every time I use it (more than just a couple) and it eats up lather. Sort of hard to explain but it is the only boar that acts like a latherhog like some silvertip brushes. I originally thought the losing hairs was just because I was breaking it in, but now that it is broken in it still loses hairs. I love Semogue brushes and have great experience with them, just not with this brush. Hopefully you all had much better shaves than I did!

Excellent soap with a very slick and thick lather. The scent is spicy, warm with notes of cinnamon. Maybe old spice is the perfect after shave to that soap.

    Hello @Primotenore
I must say that you have some beautiful razors that are complete with cases, instructions, etc. They must have taken you quite a bit of time (and money) to acquire. They're like a glimpse into the past.........

Its very painful. When the army did mine, they gave me 2 shots and smacked my teeth with chisel and rubber mallet to break them. Picked out the pieces. Many wishes going to you for a civilian dentist and a fast recovery!
