Glad to hear it went well and that you are rapidly recovering.

    Lavanille day
One of my favorite scents made a welcome return this morning. I went with two passes and touch up today and finished with no drama. My 120th use of der Futur was comfortable and efficient as usual.

Great shave this morning. I am really enjoying my MWF...it is a lather monster...five swirls and my brush is loaded. And of course today you learn of another love of my life...comic books. A throwback to lazy days when we were kids. I am a bit of a collector.:chores016:

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Personna lab blue (3)
Razor: Maggard MR1 handle with V2 open comb
    Brush: Trader Joe's synthetic
    Lather: Proraso White shaving soap
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Nice, efficient CCS this morning with one pass and touch-up. The Proraso White soap has been a great performer the past three days. I've gotten tons of lather and have a nice, rich, and protective coating on my face after face lathering. I've dialed in a little more with the Trader Joe's brush and figured out I needed to bear down more when face lathering. It also needs more water when loading. Those two changes have made that brush a nice addition to my gear.

I hope you all have a great Thursday!

Nice write up Perry, I've grown to love face lathering myself. :)

It's -19C here in Montreal and that's how it feels on my face after a wonderfully-frigid shave with this awesome Canadian face-freezer named Polar Vortex. This soap lathers so easily and its menthol power is comparable to the Frozen Tundra soap from Stirling. The Snake Bite aftershave is another great item which every Menthol Monkey should have! :happy088: :happy088:

The Razorock Plissoft brush continues to impress me. It may encourage me to put my other brushes away for a while. The Fatboy gave another DFS at the setting of 7 on the dial. I will give it a run on a head shave tonight.
