Shave report number 8:
Today was the day. The final shave with the Bunny before sending her on her way to awaiting fans. (I will note for the record that I sent her on her way a day early.)
But, lucky me, my Bunny collection multiplied during the test period. @
Herm2502 you can be heartened by the fact that this was only a quirk of fate that was temporary and resulted from @
twhite 's concern for our welfare. You see, the original Bunny had a spring that was not quite to spec. It probably would be OK but the Chief Bunny wanted the pass around to go smoothly so he sent me a replacement.
Wow, I realized I could shave with two Bunnies and double my pleasure.

So that is what made today's shave special and a little bit rare. I wanted to test out the side-by-side comparison of the twin NOS Personna II against the Schick. It wasn't quite apples to apples as there was a little more wear on the twin but still an interesting experiment - and who doesn't want to be able to say they got close and personal with two beautiful Bunnies? Both redheads no less.
Here's the takeway: I used the twin for one side of my face on the first pass and two things were apparent from that test. One, the twin was a little rougher, not quite as smooth but closer in comparison than I thought it would be. Two, the twin outperformed the Schick on initial reduction. I didn't complete the test with both as I suspect the difference at the end would not have been perceptible and I wanted to enjoy the greater smoothness the Schick was providing. And, as you've come to expect from these reports, the end result was a fantastic, close shave that I am still enjoying.
Today's shave was with a beard that was 29 hours old and a Notso comb throughout. I could have switched to the Mild but I wanted the challenge of finishing with the Notso. To my great satisfaction I did that with no weepers on the upper lip. BUT, sadly, I ended up with a small slice just under my nose. Here is where the handle design resulted in an issue. I was doing some small ATG work right under my nose. As I was moving from side to side the head rotated and the blade sliced me. I'm guessing the end I was using for the close quarters work snagged momentarily on a tough whisker and the rest of the head rotated slightly from the momentum. The reason I am chalking this up to the design is that the handle is round and didn't provide a solid enough grip to keep the razor from twisting. I think a slight squaring off would do the trick.
So, it is with fond memories that I bid the Bunny adieu and look forward to reports from everyone else. Oh, and the extra razor? Yeah, I'm using it until that twin is dead.

Then it goes back for inspection.
