Scuttle: Steve Woodhead Ceramics, large Suribachi.
    Soap: MWF.
    Brush: Razorock 24mm Plissoft.
Razor: 1930's English LC New RFB head, Windrose handle.
    Blade: Voskhod (2).
Post: Boots tea tree & witch hazel lotion, Nivea sensitive balm, Bulldog original moisturiser.

I like this razor. Paired with a smooth and comfortable Voskhod blade it feels almost as mild as a Tech, but it is definitely a more efficient shaver. The MWF was a pleasure, as always and the brush and scuttle were as reliable as ever.

I tried some new software which I picked up this week - Bulldog original moisturiser, on sale at Tesco for three squids iirc - and it seems very nice. I only have a couple of Bulldog products and I like them so I'll be looking to try some more of their things the next time I'm shopping.

A safe and comfortable 2.5 pass BBS (WTG/ATG & pickups) with great post-shave feel.

    Have a good day/evening/night folks.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #49 boar brush. Two passes with my Pal Adjustable razor and a Schick Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20160303_190125.jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real classic
    Razor: Gillette superspeed flair tip
    Blade: Timor (4th shave)
    Brush: omega s synthetic
    Soap: TTFFC Angel's Share
    Post: Vanilla Clubman

2 pass shave today. pretty good finish with no irritation. I really like the scent of this Angel's Share soap, it reminds me of the "blue man" scent that many etsy soap makers have. It has a vanilla note to it, but is pretty complex. Plus this soap has bourbon whiskey in it which adds to the scent. The lather it makes is nice and slick, and it paired well with the Clubman Vanilla. Hope everyone had a great shave!

I got by with a two pass shave tonight, WTG and ATG. I am loving this Feather blade/Flair Tip combo, not quite BBS but a DFS. I could have done another pass with all of the lather I had left but my daughter has a recital tonight and I didn't want to push it. Speaking of the recital, I put on some Old Spice cologne to smell purty and instantly thought "I need to get some aftershave". A nice burn with the cologne. We're off to the recital, have a great evening folks!

    SOTD FRIDAY

Intended day two with the Mickey Lee Drunken Goat soap. You can see the chocolaty goodness in the pic. Very interesting scent, not all chocolate, I sense something like bourbon or something complex in there.

Meanwhile I'm continuing my 1975 Super Adjustable until this blade is done. Then I'll move on. Happy Friday!

    Razor - Feather SS
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
Brush - Vie Long 12601 The Pony
    Soap - Tabac
Post - Cold Rinse, Alum, Nivea Original Balm, The Veg

A rather strange day today. The first day was a great shave, given the time since I'd used this razor. Second day was just not a good day. Today was a mixed bag. But, the good news is the worst part of the shave was NOT the blade or razor, though they weren't perfect. The lather was the problem today. But, my morning was off a bit and I created the problem myself by rushing. The Vie Long takes a bit longer to soak than my other brushes and I know that, but I was a bit behind this morning and didn't put it in the N mug until right before getting into the shower. It probably only had about 2 minutes soak time and when I went to load the Tabac I got a horrible result. Just not enough water to pick up any soap. I did dip the brush again and get the puck a bit wet as well and managed to get something resembling a lather. And, it did produce two passes worth of something that resembled a lather.

The good news is that Tabac, even when totally abused, is slick enough to avoid any major injuries with the Kai Mild. I did, however, pick up one very minor cut on my left cheekbone when I set down too vertically. That error I blame on my fixation on the bad lather and just not paying attention. You can't place any AC blade against the face vertically. Well, you can, but you bleed. Luckily the Kai Mild was even very forgiving for that and it looked more like a bad paper cut than a razor cut.

Two passes and I called it a shave with a barely DFS. Good enough after all of that. Hopefully day four will produce something resembling order since I've messed it up two days in a row. I can only imagine how bad things could have been these past two days with a Super Pro Feather in. Yeesh!

    Alum block & Krampert's AS

Shave Secret may not be smoothing out my process, but I'm beginning to like the scent. Van Der Hagen Luxury lathered better on my face than in a bowl. C'est la vie. I may save my badger brush for better soaps. This Sheffield near wedge isn't picky but it deserves a slick thick lather. A quick bit of cleanup with the FB on 4 -n- done. Alum after a cool rinse revealed smooth and nick free. Krampert's Finest compliments the preshave oil with enough cloves to remind me how it started. G'day folks!

3/03/16 The Clean Shave & Tabac

    A great BBS shave with:

    Tabac
    The Clean Shave DE Razor
    The Clean Shave Best Badger
    Gillette Yellow 7 O'Clock Blade
    Tabac AS

A middle of the road Aggressive razor with a really good handle. Very nice weight. Smooth shaver!

The brush is breaking in nice. A small amount of scritch with not a whole lot of backbone, but enough to load up good and build a great lather in a bowl!
Both of these have really good guarantees. I'll be using again tomorrow.

Video here for your enjoyment. Ha
