    Omega / La Toja Cream
WH / shea butter / Proraso ASB

First time shave with La Toja Cream. Very nice, lots of slick lather...scent isn't in my Top 5 , but it is not unpleasant. Very mineral-ish kind of scent. I think I just need to experiment to find a good ASB to match with this cream. I can see this as a nice travel cream. Nice post-shave feel. The Omega paired nicely with this cream. I will probably do a longer review of this cream after I have used it a few times.

  10. Thanks...I am going through my comic book phase of photos...:happy088:. Yes, I did my research on this cream before I ordered it...and I am not disappointed. It is a popular cream/soap at a good price.

  11. I have been using the shave stick version..not sure if the scent is the same. The shave stick has to me a cologne type scent but very mild, it's a nice scent that I wish was more pronounced but that's not gonna affect my score of it. :)

What a nice treat The Strop Shoppe Russian Tea soap is! Orange, Clove, Spice. The performance is out of this world, easy to lather, slick, wonderful post shave skincare. If you have a chance to get this one or any of SS offering get one before they're gone for good. Thank you @theFAT98 for the heads up!

  13. 3/4/15 - #81 - Back to the Blackbird!
    IMG_1108 (Copy).JPG
After 3 days of decent shaves using a Fatboy, I pulled the Blackbird back out and the results, as expected, were outstanding. Why I would ever use another razor is beyond me.

    Prep: hot shower
    Lather: Dusy Kabinett
    Brush: RazoRock Plissoft
    Razor: Blackland Blackbird
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
    Post: Old Spice

3 passes and as near to BBS as I ever get. This razor almost makes shaving effortless and my "trouble" areas of the chin, right jawline and lower neck are as clean and smooth as can be.

    Blade: Personna lab blue (4)
Razor: Maggard MR1 handle with V2 open comb
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: Soap Commander Vision
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Nice shave this morning. CCS results with one pass and touch-up on the neck area mainly. Soap Commander Vision has a fresh, minty scent that I really enjoy. Of course it lathers up nicely and provides great slickness and protection. The Omega brush is a big boar and whips up tons of lather with little time and effort.

This Vision soap is a sample. I think I've shaved with it five or six times and can probably get two or three more shaves out of it. That's a long life for a sample! I'm eager to try some of their other scents, particularly Endurance. I have several more samples to enjoy.

    Happy Friday to everyone!
