A good day at the ole mail box. There's a D4 Fatboy in there some where and a few other shaving goodies.
Congrats!! That razor is fantastic! Thank you Phil @phillpsych for your donation to the Newbie Give-Away!! Much appreciated Kerry
A couple three things arrived in the mail today. First up is an order from drugstore.com I picked up a sampler of Clubman Vanilla several months ago so it was finally time to get a full bottle. I hadn't ordered a new VDH white handled boar in a very long time and I wore my last one out a few months ago so it was time for another. And, the PSO is something I haven't tried but the price was right and when it arrived today I rubbed a bit between my fingers and it has a nice feel so I'm anxious to try it. Next up is another Lady Schick for my collection. I've already got one just like this one so I'll probably save this one to give away, maybe at the next TSD raffle. And then finally a disappointment. This cute little model truck came but it was damaged in transit. The front bumper was broken off and the rear bumper is damaged as well. I think it was a bad omen because on my way home from an appointment this afternoon I felt the brake pedal of my car smush to the floor so I've got my Saturday planned in advance.
Ulta. My wife was getting some makeup last week, and I wandered through the men's section, and mentioned I liked that one.
My wife doesn't believe me that these old razors keep following me home. Thistle and Boker. The Thistle is in worse shape than I thought, and the Boker has uneven hone wear only on one side, and rust at the pivot. Looks like I am going to need to figure out how to re-pin a razor soon.
I received two packages today. One was a Barbasol jar with a handmade lid. I think it will store Q-Tips in my den. The other was a Canadian Schick E-4
It is $5 shipped. I got it in 12 days. Pretty good deal. http://www.ebay.com/itm/40086484650...49&var=670414393324&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Mr chick, how do you like this Shicks? I'm thinking of picking one up. I've seen one in an antique shop that looks unused just like that. I don't know much about them, but maybe I'm missing out.
