What a coincidence @Spyder. I received my Canadian E-4 in the mail today. First shave with it will be in the morning. I have been using an E-2 this week and am interested to compare the two. Yes, Injectors are addicting. Have fun.

I've been using single edge razors exclusively for nearly two years and a few months ago I sold off all of my DE's - they were just collecting dust.

Yep....I kept my birth year DE...and it is a sweetheart....but I piffed all my other DEs....Even piffed an excellent in the box Senator.....I know, I know....should have kept that one!!...but the cat twisted my arm and it didn't have Schick, GEM or Ever Ready written anywhere on it...sooo...out with yesterday's news......lol!

Ohhh did I hear someone say, what about PAL?.....Hey the Injecto-matic was made in the same factories that brought us all the great hits from Ever Ready....Far as I'm concerned, the PAL is an Ever Ready! It's ER's version of an injector....no wonder it's such a great shaver.....

    SE Saturday
My second shave with the OCMM was excellent. For Flint yielded yogurty thick slick lather to my HIS brush. This set up my stubble for three smooth, drama free passes. The FF aftershave left my skin feeling well cared for in every way.
Now let's see if this blade rusts immediately like the last one. I am ordering some PTFE coated blades to see if they are better.
    Prep: Van Yulay PSO
Soap: Through The Fire Fine Craft For Flint
    Brush: HIS XL
    Razor: Gem Open Comb MicroMatic
    Blade: Rite-Aid Blade (1)
    AS: TTFFC For Flint

    Three Pass Shaving Routine...

Hot Water prep & massage with Argan Oil
    Gold Dollar 208
    Hans Baier Silver Tip Badger
    RazoRock Chicago Tallow Soap
    Thayers Original Witch Hazel

I got this Shave Ready Gold Dollar 208 a couple of weeks ago..I had my First Shave with it Today..I ended up with a Mixed BBS/DFS Result..Its the first time that I have used a Stainless Steel Blade Straight..It sure feels different to my Swedish Made Carbon Steel straights..The blade in the Gold Dollar is very rigid compared to my Carbon Steel Straights & I found it far more Forgiving..I like it a Lot..More than I can say for this Crappy & Cruddy RazoRock so called Tallow Soap..:prrr:

    Its a Pure Numpties Soap..:happy102:

I'm sorry. I posted my opinion in the 30 Day Focus thread and forgot that it was this thread where you asked.
I have been focusing on Injector razors recently and have found that when it comes to the Schicks, I prefer the E over the G models. I tend to prefer more aggressive razors and feel that the E performs better. As far as this E-4 versus the E-2 that I have been using, I didn't notice much difference. This razor gave me an excellent two pass shave with very little clean up to get what I call BBS. I did remove the top of a small scar which created a little blood, but that was operator error not the razor. All in all, I am pleased with this razor and will use it for a few more days in comparison to the E-2.
By the way, my current favorite Injector is the PAL Injectomatic. I would place the Schick Type E as a very close second.
    Have fun!

Thanks for your review. SE is brand new to me, and I find your assessment spot on with my experience, right down to clipping a scar on my neck:)
Today's shave was bbs with only two passes! Saturday is typically my "barbershop" shave. So today's soap was Taconic bay rum, with VIBR as, decanted into a liquor flask:

I'm glad to know I'm not the only "scar remover". Nice looking setup.

Aye.. The Difference's we all experience with Injectors..I had Three Type E 3 Injectors..A couple of Canadian ones & USA Made one..I found they shaved the same & recently sold them All..I just didn't get on with them..I had every blade under the Sun in them & they were all Uncomfortable on my Neck..Doesn't Figure that One..I didn't find them as Smooth as the Type E 2 that Opens & a Bit Less Aggressive & Efficient..Strange One..:angelic007:

I do like my E-2. I wish I was around when you were unloading your E-3s. I don't have one of them yet. I know it probably shaves just like an E-4 but I have the collector bug

Only one DE shave since I've been down this injector wormhole and I'm loving it!

Recently got a Gem Clog Proof in that's in decent shape, just a small amount of plate loss on the head. Shaved with it this morning and it was a dream. Much less aggressive than the ER Shovel Head. Would take pictures but the camera on my phone broke and can't bring myself to take a photo with a tablet (why do they even need a rear camera?????) Anyways maybe I'll try to figure out a way to get a pic up maybe I won't. We'll see
