    B2 Mongoose
    Feather Super Pro (4)
    Kent BK4 silvertip badger
    Route 66 Lumberjack
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and CC Bay Rum

I had a fantastic two-pass shave this morning with the Mongoose and my first shave during the March focus with no weepers. I'm getting reacquainted with the razor, and the Super Pro blade is settling down a bit. As always, the Route 66 exploded into a great lather. I finished with CC Bay Rum and Terre d'Hermès, two of my favorites. I think the combo of scents work great together. My Bride will let me know when she gets up this morning.

I am reading the Bible through chronologically, so I'm off to complete my morning study. I hope you all have a fantastic Sunday.

    Seville Sunday
This was my first time using the OCMM two days in a row. The blade did not rust because I took it out of the razor and dried it. The shave was very efficient, but not as comfortable as my Futur, as indicated by AS sting and a little rough feeling during the shave. I got a BBS with a couple very small weepers on my lower neck. The scent of For Flint is a nice compliment to Seville as the share a citrus note.

Man alive, I think I'll need to spend a week in Acapulco (wouldn't mind going there anyway!) in order for my face to thaw out. I don't know what my man Rod did to that Glacial Obsidian soap because it felt almost like it was burning me from the cold. (I love it!) The matching balm, together with the Rubby Dubby Doo went on just as frigidly and ended this marvellous shave exactly the way I wanted. A special shout-out to my Plissoft treasure - does it ever make a soap or cream lather the right way! :happy088: :happy088:

Good morning guys. This morning inspired by our very own @swarden43 aka Steve who is taking on a Derby challenge and trying them in 31 razors, I decided to toss one in my R41 and give them another try. These blades just suck! I suffered through three passes of absolute dullness to end up with a DFS!? I routinely do three passes with any other blade in my R41 and the third pass is gratuitous... Yeah the R41 is that efficient. I know now why people confuse these for being good blades...I purposely applied pressure and shaved recklessly during certain points in my shave to test these and you can get away with murder...why? Because the edge is dull. Don't confuse a lack of blood letting with skill folks... The blades are dull. Can you shave with Derby's!?... Yes..should you? No! On the plus side, it's a lovely day here in Fla, so my mood is good. Have a great shave and a great day friends. Steve, I wish you better luck than my own. My beautiful Pit Bull, Kira joined me for this photo...I love her so much, she is so sweet.:love029::love055:

I am challenging myself to "Titanic" my remaining vintage Williams soap.
(Don't panic, I have four unopened reserve pucks :))
This soap was mentholated using @GDCarrington Vintage Williams Project:
    http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/the-vintage-williams-project.45842/

The original vessel I used for the soap was an antique piece I found:
    IMG_5536.JPG
Cute, but I learned quickly that except for my smallest brushes, loading was impossible. Too small and narrow.
So I dug it out and filled my EJ Apothecary Mug, which I normally use to soak my brushes only.
Like MWF, original formula Williams loads best when somewhat hydrated. Even though much of the original water added during the project has evaporated, the soap itself is soft and pressed easily into the mug.
@crackstar , I don't think you would find this a particularly strong face-freezing soap, but it does bring tears to my eyes.
I will be more cautious using menthol crystals in the future.
