    Unofficial shave report number 10:
The "spare" Bunny will go back to @twhite tomorrow. My twin NOS Personna II has given it's last shave. I met the Bunny with just over 50 hours of beard so I went for the Wild comb on the first two passes and dropped down to the Mild on pass three. Despite the blade getting tuggy - especially on the first pass, I have just had another outstanding, first rate, top of the order, shave with the Bunny V3. No nicks, cuts, or weepers and the dolphins are jealous of how smooth my skin is. :happy036:

My two cents for those in the receiving line:
    • Angle is key, keep the handle at maybe 80 degrees or so. This is easy to forget when going underhanded on the ATG passes in places like the neck and chin and upper lip. Expect a few weepers until this becomes second nature - until then, stay focused on this.
    • Light pressure is all that is needed, put some attention on that
    • The Schick blade is the best combo that I found
    • Definitely start with the Mild comb unless you've got a day and half or two days of beard
    • Change the combs mid-shave to get a full appreciation for the differences. If you have a lot of whiskers to work with start with the Mild and progressively work up during the first pass - the difference will be noticeable. If you are starting with the Wild or Notso, step down to the Mild on the last pass.
    • Experiment with the grip to find what works best for you - I tend to grip high and found this worked best for tricky areas but liked holding it lower elsewhere.
    • Get ready for some absolute stand-out shaves
Special thanks to @twhite for going down this path with us and making these test versions available. :happy005:

    Supreme advice.

I cannot stress enough the light touch. That will give by far the best shaves.

    Testers.

Follow the above advice. I really think you will enjoy the shave.

Thanks to all willing to try The Bunny out. It will help me in the end to make it a better razor. If I move forward with it.

I have been using Tabac on Sundays. I love the scent, which (imho) isn't too overpowering for church.
This is the third go-round for the E-4 with chick blade. Effortless bbs shave. Thing really shines going atg on upper lip and chin. This is where my beard is exceptionally thick and tough. With a de; I begin to usually feel some tugging when going atg. The E-4 plows through smoothly, no touch-up required . I thought my slim gave great shaves, which it does, however, this se definitely provides a far superior shave. I could see a novice getting into trouble with this guy:)

    Shave Den Sunday!

Prep: Warm shower, Dove Men+Care face scrub
    Blade: Chinese Schick
Razor: Schick G1 Injector (late 1940s)
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
    Lather: TSD Lanolin Bay Rum
Post: Witch hazel splash, TSD Iced Bay Rum after shave, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG, touch-up

I loaded a new Chick blade into the injector. That didn't go quite as planned and had to figure out the loader, but I got it to go in correctly after a little finagling. That was my first time loading a new blade as my Injector experience isn't so deep. But the new blade was nice and sharp and very efficient.

All in all this was a nice, close shave. Two passes with touch-up and I would classify it as DFS.

This was my best shaving experience with the Schick injector to date!! I'm hoping to build my technique as the Bunny approaches me later this year.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!

    Two-pass shave - XTG, ATG

I’ve had but just one shave with this razor, so I've been really looking forward to getting to know it. The usual enablers around this thread (you know who you are) insisted I find one and even threw alerts at me when they saw some at auction. Gosh it's pretty, and the opening cleaning mechanism is just too cool for school!

With its reputation for aggressiveness preceding it, I still fell into the sweet spot angle so instantly that it lulled me into a false sense of security. The razor lightness and easy angle had me zipping across my face helter skelter.

Yes, helter skelter for sure - I lost control on the first pass just as I got to my personal “Deadmans’ Curve” and sliced the length of the blade into my prominent chin. Medic! :scared001:

Undaunted, I just got right back on it and finished the complete shave. :transport016:
I’ll be more cautious tomorrow, but disaster aside, this first shave gives me great expectations for this razor.

    Cheers!

Todays shave Dedicated to @Bird Lives. As he is brave enough to admit getting the H.
    This shave is for you:)

    Razor: Eversharp Type H
    Soap: Tabac
    Brush: Pure Badger
    ASB: Mankind by KC
    Cologne:Mankind by KC
Music: My favorite Female singer. Ann Lennox

Todays shave was with a full 2 days growth. I decided to bust out the H in honor of @Bird Lives purchasing one for himself.

Needless to say todays shave was not a disappointment. I whipped up some great lather. Love how Tabac lathers and the slickness.

My first pass WTG mowed down the growth pretty good. I will hazard to say it gave me a bit better first pass than my newly acquired F. I hold this little beauty with my thumb on the bottom and my index and middle finger only on the top. I use a very light grip. This way when going around curves the razor kind of follows the curvature of your face. This is a very mild feeling razor but it is quite efficient. I feel totally safe wielding this thing. In fact this is the fastest shaving razor I use. YMMV.

Second pass XTG went just as well as the first. If I were in a rush this second pass would have been just fine to have. CCS type of shave.

As I was not in any rush today. I went for my normal 3rd pass ATG. Again this little H did not disappoint. I finished off with a DFS.

Injector users unite. Go for the power of the "H"

Well I can't say anything about your choice of razor, as I have not tried one...yet...but as to your choice of music +1. One of the strongest female voices I've ever heard... despite being Scottish!

    C. V. Heljestrand (early model)
    C. V. Heljestrand wedge blade ("SONDAG") freshly honed & stropped
    Whipped Dog 24mm synthetic brush
    Mitchell's Wool Fat soap
    Pinaud Lilac Vegetal aftershave

First time with this latest addition to the collection. I spent yesterday evening honing up the first blade in the set ("SONDAG" - they're labeled in Swedish). What - doesn't everybody spend Saturday night honing wedge blades? Despite being around 100 years old these blades aren't showing much wear, and the blade took a great edge. This razor is much lighter than later versions, and seems to be more aggressive as well. It's hard to really talk about aggressiveness with this type of razor since you're essentially shaving with a bare blade - the comb serves merely to guide the lather into the 'lather catcher" area. Still, I could really feel the blade and I had a definite feeling that were I to lose focus, a price would be paid. Somehow I made it through the shave unscathed, although the Lilac Vegetal did sting a bit. Nonetheless, a most satisfying shave.
