What, my stellar record of marriages doesn't qualify me to give advice? Duck and cover comes to mind. Never conduct an argument near the knife drawer seems like good advice. It depends on how manly this bunch is. Soviet era DE's with Tiger blades - what's the worst that could happen?

 

It comes with the Maggard 24mm synthetic which I love. I think it is a great brush for any experience level! I also promise to warn them of the dangers of Osage.

Osage is great, you just shouldn't get nuts with it.

 

I'm not sure a Tiger blade will even cut so the worst that could happen is friction burn.

 

"Yes dear", or here in SC it is "Yes Darlin", is well ingrained already! However, I am trying my best to forget the "just smile and nod" tactic of not really paying attention while she is talking as that one has gotten me in trouble a few times when I have been asked to actually answer a question relevant to the discussion. Oops.

 

If it's anything like my first wedding you could have them use that setup after the rehearsal dinner/party.....and they'd still be numb from the alcohol content. Less pain from the burn!

I'm wondering about M-bombing. I tried bombing my soap this morning. I put three drops from the TSD M-bomb sampler directly on the top of the soap. I then whipped up the lather. The soap is a sample of Soap Commander and there's not much left so I thought three drops would be good.

But, I didn't feel any menthol effect. What did I do wrong? Do I need to add more than that? Not add it directly to the soap?

I'd love to hear what you guys do. Thanks!

 

M Bomb is good stuff.

 

When I use M-Bomb on the lather, I typically do about 5 drops and bowl lather. I hardly notice it my first pass, but it is more noticeable on the second and third pass lathers. If you can whip up the lather and let it rest for a few minutes, you will feel it more.

 

I have only used M-bomb and soap when bowl lathering. I would load up my brush, put 3-5 drops in the bowl and then use the bowl to create my lather. I would usually end up adding a few more drops to the lather and whipping it up some more. It never got freeze your face cold, but it was not too bad.

Two-pass shave - XTG, ATG

Made a full recovery from yesterday's inattentive crack-up. I was even able to shave right over the scar I created from yesterday's shave.

Today was oh so smooth. It really is a very close and comfortable experience with both passes, but it requires attention and punishes reckless abandon. That's all it asks and in return it provides a top notch shave.
