Got a razor lot in today. Came with 2 new injectors and a red tip (but that is not important in this thread) Here are the new Schicks I believe to be E types Here they are together And some more of the one on the left And now some more of the other Just curious as to exactly which type E they are
Cant see the comb on the 1st one but the 2nd one is a later 1941 Type E 2 ..The 1st one will be later Edition Type E2 after that one again if it has a Smooth Comb...If it has a Ridged Comb its a Type E 3.. Billy..
That USA Made Personna you have there is Nothing like the PAL Adjustable..Night & Day...Nothing like the Brit made Personna Executive either..The PAL Adjustable is a Beasty Boy.. Billy..
What Billy said - while the PAL Adjustable bears a physical resemblance to the Personna, it is a totally different animal. The Personna is mostly plastic with a thin staiinless steel sheet metal spine. The PAL is much more robust. It is all stainless steel except for the underside of the handle and the stainless steel spine is much heavier. I'd say that even at its mildest setting it is more aggressive than the Personna. --Bob
Some of my Injectors. All but the three in the lower right hand corner are Schick/Eversharp. Those are two Pals around a Personna. Still need a Type D, Type F & Type O.(unbelievable what the Type O goes for)
If its a ridged comb its a Type E 3...Some of the smooth combs have what Waits calls irregular striations though...Streaky Gold Plating..If yours has a ridged comb the same as a G Type its a Type E 3.. Billy..
Thanks Maybe a good example of that 'class' does not necessarily equate to 'expensive' as every item in the photo was about $20 each - or less.
Well it has a solid bar guard so I THINK it's a C3...? Here's some real bad photos snapped this evening, enough to identify it? (Sorry for the grime and dirt...poor thing has been sitting uncleaned since I got it... I might have to clean it up one day).
