Razor: Gillette British Rocket. Excellent Gillette engineering and finish. Just cannot beat the vintage brass and nickel construction. Another "made for my face" razor. Perfect blade angle and gap. Blade: Personna Red (Israeli). A nice blade for me. Consistent close and comfortable shaves. Brush: Simpson Wee Scot. A dynamite brush. One should not be wary of the size of this brush. One of my best face lathering brushes. Soap: Krampert's Acadian Spice Bay Rum. This continues to be an amazing soap for lathering. Lather starts to form on the second swirl and only gets better. Coupled with a great scent it is a winner in all respects. Scuttle: Steve Woodhead (United Kingdom). Steve's work is different that most all other artisans. He puts a little flair in his products. Nice colors and finish. The size makes it a good brush scuttle. Shipping from the United Kingdom is not the cheapest but well worth the cost. I have two of Steve's scuttles and one lather bowl. Post: Pinaud Bay Rum. After the shave my wife asked,"What is that? Smells great!"
As I've said so many times - a shave with any of the Glacial soaps feels not only like an ice bucket challenge, it also feels wonderfully-comfortable. This Wintergreen trio left me absolutely frozen and I had a MONSTROUS amount of yogourty lather from my Plissoft brush. The Super Speed/Astra combination delivered on the BBS in two easy passes!
Indeed, I've wanted one since I saw them. When he posted some were up for adoption, I jumped on one. Its even prettier up close!
Hello TSD - my Tuesday shave (no Tabac here): - PannaCrema Namaste - The Grosvenor "Finest" - Gillette Red Tip - Polsilver SI - Tüff sensitiv Rasierwasser Another fantastic soap today. PannaCrema lathers easily and provides amazing slickness. After the second pass I did not have to re-lather for touchups, I just applied a few drops of water to my face - and the residual slickness of the soap did the trick. The Red Tip is a very nice razor, but not as effective as for example the Rockwell with a 4 or 5 plate (not to mention the Futur on 4-6 ). It takes quite a few more strokes to remove the last stubble. Nonetheless a better than DFS result with no irritation. Have a great day everyone!

March 8 Schick Hydromagic / Schick (5) GFT Eucris Omega 100051 Nivea Cool Kick Aqua Velva Ice Sport Continuing with Schick Injector's as I await the Bunny. The last update is that it is in transit on the last leg of its journey. One or two more days and I will have it in my hands. The GFT lathered well with my Omega boar and The blade did well on its 5th shave. The Nivea balm had a nice cooling effect and finishing with AV left me feeling and smelling great.

This shot was from Sunday's Shave, but was unable to upload pic. Pretty much same shave three days in a row so figured I now I managed to get the upload to work: That's My "new" Schick Krona, from @Omaney who was kind enough to donate for the TSD raffle. Kent Synthetic brush Willam's Soap, with Bay Rum added. Third day on this GSB Homemade alcohol and witch hazel AS, with EO and M-bomb The Schick is a nice shaver. Kinda quiet on feed back, but gets the job done and doesn't bite much. A couple of weepers over the last three days, nothing serious. Will have to try Astra's next to see how they feel. I could go another day on this GSB from today's feel, will decide in the morning. Finished with some Avon vintage 'Cool Sage' before heading out the door..
SOTD 3/8 Tabac Tuesday Hot shower Merkur 34C / Gillette Platinum RazoRock Plissoft Tabac Nivea Sensitive PSB My first cold water shave and I have to say my face really liked it! Started off the shave with generous cold water splash and then lathered up the Tabac with cold water. I never really have warm lather but it was quite different having cold lather. Warm or cold it doesn't matter to the Tabac, it makes an awesome slick fluffy lather either way. All in all I wasn't overly impressed with the Gillette Platinum, while plenty smooth it left me wanting in the sharpness department. First pass WTG and there was noticeable tugging from the blade. After that I did two more passes XTG to end with a really nice DFS, feeling cool and refreshed from the cold water my face was happy without even the slightest hint of a "warm spot" and no irritation at all. I think i may be a cold water convert. Happy shaving and have a great day everyone!

Gold Bond Ultimate Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Shambala This FH Tech has completely changed my mind on Tech's, this razor is fantastic!! 3 pass shave, no touch up needed. Smooth as silk. Dusy is lovely. The Vie-Long horse did well. Never let the things you WANT Make you forget the things you HAVE!
I'm seeing more and more cold water converts. I'm glad more people are discovering the best way to shave to fit their needs
We're so lucky there are so many different variables within our hobby CJ that everyone can find a way to Taylor their shaves for an enjoyable experience.
