I don't think it really has a fragrance, just all menthol. Again, if that's what you like... :) Since I am learning to use a straight, I want all the feeling I can get.

The CF Aftershaves are great too. I do like a little alcohol sometimes. Route 66 is great stuff, looking forward to her AS balms.

Another nice shave tonight. Thanks to @LuvWetShavin I tried out my new RazoRock Plissoft brush and Through the Fire Fine Craft Wisp soap. Absolutely love them! I also tried the Gillette Sharp Edge blade for the first time tonight. I'll use it again tomorrow to make up my mind on it, ended a three pass shave with a DFS but I'm having some itching/burning now. I guess it could be the soap so I'll try another one tomorrow to see.
For the focus this month I'm keeping with bowl lathering. My new mug is a little tall but can hold enough lather to cover a car. Have a great evening folks!

A nice BBS this morning from the Wilkinson Sword on its second outing in my Birth Quarter Tech. A smoother shave than yesterday. My typical 2 passes gave me very good reduction. I needed a little more touch up than usual, but managed to capture the baby. The Clubman only stung a tiny bit, no irritation.

Hope everyone had a nice Tuesday.

I love this razor more and more every time I use it. There is no comparison between this and a de to me. None. DE are not as smooth, not as sharp, and generally, I don't find them as classy. This thing just gets better and better and better the more I use it and get used to it. My wife declared that since I'm PIF'ing away my beloved tech that I'm no longer allowed to buy any DE razor. And surprisingly, I didn't have a problem agreeing to that. So now I'm going to make a battle plan for a micromatic, a MMOC, and an injector. Which injector would you guys and gals suggest? I want something in the middle of aggressive.

I have an ultralight gem, a MMBT, a Schick type B repeater and a Schick type G injector. I can't tell much difference in the Schicks I have. I think they may lie on the agressive end of injectors. The MMBT is great but the ultralight/featherweight (I always forget the name) wants to bite and the lightness of it makes me want to use more pressure so I get more razorburn. My first BBS was on a 2 pass shave with the Type G Schick.

I had a nice one pass shave with CCS results, but that is almost understating own good the shave was. It was extremely smooth and comfortable. The lather was very slick, and I really like the Sherlock scent. The razor was just great. It was a terrific start for my hump day. I hope everyone has the same.

Another great shave this morning. The Dragon's Blood soap provided a rich slick lather. I am not sure on the scent but the performance of the soap was first rate. Sticking with a 2 pass shave and minor touch ups provided a near perfect work morning shave. Finished off with a splash of Fine Platinum. Happy Wednesday everyone.

Pretty good CCS this morning. Not my best or most comfortable shave ever, but nothing to really complain about either. I caught myself using too much pressure on my jaw and chin area and ended up with a small nick. Nothing bad - witch hazel and cold rinses took care of it.

I like the Voshkod blade and continue to like the V2 open comb. That will be the last use of the Vision scent. It was a sample and I got probably 10 shaves from it. There was still a little remaining but I decided to toss it in favor of one of the new samples, probably Endurance.

I am still experimenting with cold water shaves but will say that my face feels better overall after shaving with cold water. The tender areas of my neck feel much better than with hot or warm water. So I might be a convert!

    Have a good day everyone!

A near BBS from the Wilkinson Sword in my Birth Quarter Tech. Although I've been able to get one BBS and have come close twice, it has taken more effort than I like. I was sure this time I was going to have some irritation because my neck seemed to sting during my final rinse. But the Clubman was surprisingly quiet. A slight sting, but that was all.

The Wilkinson Sword in my Tech seemed harsher to me that the Gillette Platinum Plus and not as efficient as the Rapira Super Stainless. But of course, your mileage may vary. Tomorrow I’ll put in a Feather.

    Wishing everyone a wonderful Wednesday.

Amazing shave today. Everything just came together. The Feather blade finally smoothed out on the third shave. This soap and brush combo were just outstanding and finishing off with my Avon Island Lime aftershave was just right. It was a 3 pass shave only because it felt sooo good and smooth this morning. BBS all over. I mentioned yesterday that I would change out the blade after today's shave, but I think I will give it another go tomorrow.

I like to call this my Wile E Coyote razor. Its big and noisy, and was honed on a JNat. It wasn’t quite as keen as I would have liked, so I used a series of pastes to try and smooth out the edge a little more. I got the pastes from a vendor on Etsy who sells a lot of JNats. These are his proprietary pastes, and he recommends them to further refine the edge. This is my second shave with this razor. I am trying out the Jeeves of Hudson Street soaps, and wanted to get a feel for them with different brushes. Today I used a 28mm synthetic with the Turkish Bath scent. The scent is a barbershop scent, but more subtle than some others I have tried. I like it a lot. I worked the lather in a bowl, and the big brush made mounds of fluffy lather. I worked it onto my face, and did my two passes, N/S and S/N. Awesome cushion and glide. Got a DFS plus, almost caught the baby. Finished off with a splash of Mandom, because it’s a perfect pairing with the ACME razor. Happy Wednesday!

Today was my first day with the PAL Adjustable. I took advice from @spidey9 and started out on the middle setting. It took a little while to figure out the angle but I got a very nice two pass DFS+ shave. I think that with a little practice and adjustment, I will be very happy with this razor.
