  4. I picked 90 because it's three 30 day rules, and fits with my focus thread format. The 100 shaves advice is the same I've heard, and figure 90 is close enough to know for sure. I have used @gssixgun for honing services on my Ralf Aust, the others don't need it yet, and I won't be buying hones this year.

  5. image.jpeg Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech NDC (declared 1947) Birth Year
    Brush: Maggard Synthetic 24/57 2016
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream/Soap: Route 66 Bourbon Jungle
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Balm,Old Spice original Shulton 1973 glass cologne Stopper #3

The Gillette Tech is a great razor, and it is a nice mild razor for me even with a Feather blade. Nice lather from the Bourbon Jungle with the Maggard, to get off to a good start. Very nice two pass shave with some touchup, smooth. The Tech with this great lather will let me chase the baby, but I had to be careful not too go crazy, as I will pay with some burn. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some JB Balm. Then some Old Spice original Shulton 1973 cologne. This Original Shulton Cologne has a great scent that is a little powdery, and the new stuff can't quit match it. very nice! Y'all have a good one!
  6. How many Times do you need a hone on a razor in those 90days?

90 days is close enough indeed =)

I had some great shaves the last few days working with my shave soaps. I've been busy working on a Tres Amigos project, so my posts and likes have been limited. Also my wife's birthday was yesterday.

  14. So long as the bevel remains intact and the strop work is good, a straight only needs honing once or twice yearly, or that's what I've been told.

  20. Wednesday Shave
    Cold water
    Pso-Homemade mint oil
    Razor-Gillette Flair Tip SS
    Blade- Gillette Sharp Edge (2)
    Brush- RazoRock Plissoft
    Soap- Kiss My Face Mint
    Thayers Witch Hazel
    ASB-Nivea Sensitive
Enjoyable shave today. Thanks to the recommendation of @Robyflexx I purchased some Kiss my Face...I love it. The mint has a great scent and it lathered and protected wonderfully. Day 2 of the Gillette Sharp Edge was great, the burning from yesterday must have been because of the soap which is a shame because I really liked it. Only 2 passes today and ended with a DFS.
