Have two SOTD for ya. Here is the one from 3/9:
Prep: Hot Shower/ Nivea Face Wash
    Pre-Shave: PAA Ice
Soap: RazoRock Essential Oil of Lime
    Brush: Semogue OC Silvertip Badger
    Razor/ Blade: Merkur 1906/ Voskhod (3)
    Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel
    Post-Shave: SC Courage Balm
    Aftershave: Stirling MITA
Awesome shave. This time the RazoRock soap worked very well. I think the tallow formulas have difficulty if the water isn't perfect, where some tallow soaps manage it a bit better. The Semogue OC is fantastic and probably my favorite brush. Courage and MITA matched the lime scent very well. Hope you all enjoyed your shaves!

    Fridays shave

I was in a lot of pain last night and couldn't sleep. At about 1.30 a.m I went and had a shower and a shave. It sometimes helps with the pain and gives me something else to focus on. It didn't help with the pain this morning but I got a nice shave of it. I was bit tired and forgot to take the picture until after the Shave.

Razor - Gem Micromatic Open Comb
    Blade - Gem
Lather - I Coloniali shaving soap
    Brush - Pilsson synthetic
Aftershave - Nivea Sensitive balm and Old Spice.

    Have a great weekend.

    It's FRIDAY!

One or two more days, then I'll go back to the SR. I forgot how much I like the Barbacool! Also, my darn boar brush is starting to lose hairs. It's a re-knot I did last year.

    Travel Shave 3/10/16:
Prep: Hot Shower/ Dove Men's Face Wash
    Pre-Shave: None
    Soap: CRFTD Ranger
    Brush: Omega Boar
Razor/ Blade: Gillette Tech Style/ Personna Platinum (1)
    Astringent: Alum
    Post-Shave: The Holy Black Balm
    Aftershave: Fine American Blend
Travel shave from Chicago. I am here picking up my grandfathers old Cadillac and driving it to Boston. Not sure where I will end up tonight. This shave was great, however. This is my go-to travel gear. CRFTD Ranger is vegan so works with the hard Chicago water. I bring my Omega boar because it works well and the handle is cheap plastic so not worried about trashing it. Gillette Tech style razor is small, light, and mild so works great for travel. Followed by my favorite aftershave splash. Have a great day!

    March 11 Bunny Day 2
    Bunny "NOTSO" / Schick (2)
    Tabac
    Vie Long Horse & Badger
    Retinol Men ASB
    Pinaud Clubman VIBR

Another good shave with the Bunny. The NOTSO comb is more efficient than the mild while not giving up any smoothness. The Tabac is a very thirsty soap and gives great slickness and cushion. Finished with the Clubman VIBR for a great start on a Friday. Have a good day Gents.

I had a wonderful shave last night. The best I've ever had when using william's mug soap. On the first pass the lather was somewhat thin, but was OK , as Williams often is. I'm using a new semogue 1305 which at this point doesn't seem to hold much lather so the lather for the second pass was really thin. On a whim I took the puck and rubbed it on my face like a shave stick and relathered resulting in the best lather I've ever had with Williams.

    The gear used.
    -1953 ball end tech.
    -semogue 1305
    -william's mug soap
    -wilkensword classic blade (1)
-mix of 2/3 booster iced lime, 1/3 thayers lemon witch hazel

I was pleased with the unexpectedly good shave I had.

Love it or hate it. I like Williams and the key usually is the amount of water. Good job and good choice of gear.

    Penguins Bay Rum

Haven't done any SOTD pictures for a while, but that doesn't mean I haven't shaved. :)
Life has gotten in the way, so I have mostly lurked here, not participated much :(
Been using my slant for 4 shaves now and each have been excellent smooth and easy.
Fancied some "warmth", scent-wise, today so the Bay rum after some classic Almond was just perfect for me.
I'm still enjoying the great RR Classic @Omelmad piffed me some time ago.
The 1250 boar is breaking in nicely. It has never been stiff or scritchy but it's becoming softer by each use.
The shave today was very quick, dirty and DFS++!

Probably a more popular choice, as Schick is a company, whereas Sensor is just a title Gillette uses.

Gillette New SC Red & Black set 1930s
Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Soap/Cream: Cella classica 1899
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, TOBS Luxury AS

Whipped up the Cella with the Silvertip in my favorite mug. Getting better and a little closer with the round point. My angles are getting better and the blade was singing a nice tune. Found the sweet spot, but couldn't keep it everywhere. Working on getting under my upper lip, and I'm getting better. I finished with my OC and only needed 1/2 pass. Good shave with the Duck, very happy. Nice cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB Gel. After cleanup some TOBS. Y'all have a good one.

What's the difference between a post-shave and an after-shave? This isn't a riddle, I'm just interested to know.
