I agree. I have the gunmetal version and I was almost turned off until I found TSD.. With a personna or Astra blade the razor shaves great..
Today I received a vintage French soap stick - at least 40 years old, untouched, came with the original instructions. People who have used it claim that this soap gives the best skincare they've ever experienced
I said it was a black mountain badger, it's a "black badger". I like my brushes a bit "floppy". This one is nice and soft and really lays on the lather.
Hello fellow Shave Denizens, I received two razors in the mail today. The first is easily the most prized of the two, however, it is in user grade condition. It is an English #21 Gillette Aristocrat- Next up is a mis-matched set. It has a 1908 Gillette Single Ring, a nickel plated 1930's style blade safe, and a 1930's metal Gillette New case for what I believe was the European market. Here's that photo- I don't believe the case and blade safe go together. Nor does this 1908 Single Ring go with it. I have a case like that already, and it contains a 1930's Gillette New Short Comb. With a common bar handle. Also the razor is nickel plated. I bought this set to use each piece here in an existing set I have. The case will go with another New SC in nickel I have. The blade safe is going in with my President. And the Single Ring will go with another proper case. I'm happy wth both razors. Thanks for your interest, and have a great day!
It is. Rod said this batch had more lime in it than he wanted. I am a lime fan though. Loving the scent. Gonna have to get a sample of the finished product to compare them.
The last twelve hours have been a trifecta of received PIF's for me, with a bonus round. From Chris @Bama Samurai a Schick injector and fresh pack of blades, plus more blades! I'm in Focus working my SR skill, but I'm also on the list for the West Coast Bunny Trials. The High Mumpty Vince @Rufus T. suggested that those of us with no experience using injectors should consider just this tool as a trainer. With The Bunny being en route to @spidey9 , there's only five other testers between us. Round two of incoming goodies arrived from China via Wish.com from my father. He still carries a Nokia flip phone, usually turned off. With the price of Android tablets becoming affordable I set him up. Good training for when he finally steps into the 21st century. He found these USB flash drives for around fourteen dollars. It's not V3.0USB, but note the capacity. About $0.014 per gig. Next up, from my Lady Friend, a gift when she donated to a flood relief program. We've had a bit of rain lately. The interstate is closed going west at the Texas state line, about 30 miles from here. There's talk about also closing east of here. I'm not worried because every other neighbor has a boat. We'll just stay home from work and go fishing. In our front yards. Bonus round to my brother in West Virginia. He received a Gillette 195 in time for his birthday. Got my Tabac Shave stick today. I got a refill since I don't feel like I need the case. I had to use it right away and since I could I followed it with some Tabac AS I got in a sampler. I really like this stuff. The shave stick is like super Arko. Mounds of lather plus more slickness and an amazing smell.
